Excellent alternative to peat based
Coming from a farming family and being conscious of depleted peat areas this seemed worth a try. Good to handle, so far I've had good results so will be using again.

Excellent for Bulbs and Roses
As this is my first time using wool compost I didn't know exactly what to expect, but the bulbs/roses I got it for did and is still doing very well from it.The downside side is the 30 litre bag was cut open and taped up so I'm not sure if I got the full deal? I will buy again from another supplier perhaps.

Yet to see how things grow, but am very hopeful.
Great stuff. Needs to be left in a part filled bucket of water before use.

Not suitable for pots
Seems a great idea, compost looks and feels good. Tendancy to waterlog though but on the flipside of that it has very good water retention. Biggest bug bear(other than it being full of mushroom spores as someone else has mentioned) is that if you use it in pots it creates stains on your flags that are hard to get out even with a pressure washer. When you water the pots, dark brown/ black water pours out the bottom and this, even when diluted by the rain as in my photo, stains very badly. Underneath the pots the marks are almost black. Like I said, even the pressure washer struggles to get it out. I've used for 2 months so imagine if your pots were sat there all summer. Really should say it's not suitable for pots. I move pots around as the season moves on to get the best of my plants so the flags look absolutely awful. Eco friendly compost but not so eco friendly if you have to use gallons of water to pressure wash the stains off!

A woolly duvet for my Dahlias!
I'm just about to use this to over winter my Dahlias, living on the south coast I'm hoping they will survive in the ground with a good mulch of this to protect them over the winter, it's the first time I've grown them so we will see.........I've know covered the Dahlias in their winter duvet and await the outcome next spring, it was a pleasure to use this compost as you could really feel the quality!

The compost was full of mushroom spores and mushrooms overtook the plants. Fly lava in compost.
This compost was full of fly lava. Worst of all the mushroom. Expensive compost and the worst compost I have ever used!
