This is my first purchase of a model plane. Does the plane come off of the display stand?

Yes. This is a fully assembled plane, there is no landing gear so if you remove the stand you can't display the model very well---

Does this have to be built ?

No, the model is already pre-built.

Is this model for kids play? (as in, can it take a beating?)

No, this is not a toy. It is made for display. It is very small and fragile.

Absolutely a great model by Daron!

If you’re looking for an affordable and durable diecast model, this could be your pick! From nose to tail, this lil F22 model is made out of solid metal, has great detail, and looks really great on display! However, my model did have a flimsy stand base but it does still do the job anyway, and I care about the aircraft model anyway. I recommend buying this awesome model!
