Black & Decker 393960-00 Handle Assy

Not sure what some people are talking about when they say the handle does not fit or modifications are needed. I have a 703 Series 1 and this handle fit just like original.Keep track of your old screws and this will go on pretty easy.April 13, 2020: I have had an opportunity to use the old saw with the new handle and it works great!! If you have a 703 Series 1, don't listen to anyone that says this handle will not work.

This handle looks exactly like the factory handle I broke. Took about 15 minutes to install. I took a pic with my phone first and had to compare after pulling the wires off the switch to replace the broken handle. Very easy to perform the operation. Make sure you unplug the saw first, so you do not get an electrical surprise (shock) when moving the switch over.

Perfect fit and easy to install. Just keep track of which screws go where as there are 2 different types. Also take a pic of the wiring to make sure you reroute them the same way on the new part.

Replacing both halves of this DeWalt handle went more smoothly and quickly than anticipated. Helpful hints from other buyers included taking a picture of the wiring layout to properly re-route the wires in the new handle. As I removed the screws, I placed each one in the proper location in the upper half of the new handle to ensure they went back correctly. Not interchangeable. With luck, this replacement gives me another ten years of use.

Replacement fit like the original. I recommend taking a picture or drawing the wiring locations for easier assembly. Quality, delivery were very good. Price seemed high for 2 pieces of plastic.

My heart broke when my old friend "my chop saw" that I've had for years fell off its table when I backed up into it and its handle broke. I thought that was it but then I thought "Amazon"! I found the part but was worried it wasn't going to fit but it did. Just like new. And now my old buddy is back in business.

I purchased this for a Dewalt 10" mitre saw and everything fit together just as if a new assembly. I am pleased with the purchase.
