Tanita BC-568 InBody Digital Scale - Japan Technology Segmental Body Composition Analyzer with Smart BMI, Fat, Muscle Mass Measurement, and Nutrition Tracking - FDA Cleared, HSA/FSA Eligible

I was reluctant to purchase due to the price but am not sorry. This scale is awesome! Every day, even if I gain, it encourages me by explaining the reason for gain. Often a weight gain is due to fat loss and muscle gain. It comes with a chart to keep track of daily changes. It is so detailed. It measures body weight, water content, bone mass, metabolic age, calories necessary to maintain your current weight. I love the way it breaks down the muscle and fat content. It measures separate percentages for left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg, and torso. It also tells how much fat you have around your middle. This scale is worth every penny I paid. The only thing I'd change is the color. I really wasn't in the market for a scale except that my white one did not match my bedroom. In looking for an ivory one I came upon this awesome scale and what color is it? White.

The product description and images create the impression that this device provides advanced body composition analysis, including 3D imaging and features suitable for professional medical use\. In reality, the BC\-568 is essentially a scale with limited functionality\. For a medical practice, it is not practical or cost\-effective\. The data cannot be transferred to a smartphone via Bluetooth, and obtaining and documenting the information requires significant manual handling\. There is also no image\-based evaluation that can be used for medical consultation\. What is even more concerning is the return policy\. Professional products are subject to a **50% restocking fee**, meaning you can lose half of what you paid simply for returning the product\. On top of that, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs and assumes the risk of loss or damage during transit\. In my opinion, the product presentation does not accurately reflect the functionality you actually receive\. I would not recommend this device for a professional medical practice, and I believe customers should be fully informed of these limitations before purchasing\.

Despite taking readings at the same time of day the accuracy is iffy. Even taking readings just a few minutes apart can have wildly different results. I did not have this issue with my 2 previous Tanita models. Just for clarification I keep the scale on the same flat surface. It is not moved, etc. Disappointing.

This is great. The price I thought was high, but it does all that it says and is easy to use

I own a less sophisticated Tanita scale and decided to upgrade. I ordered from Competitive Edge as the Tanita BC-568 was not available on the Amazon Prime service to which I subscribe. The BC-568 arrived on time and was well packaged. I read through the instructions and watched a video which showed the scales. The first issue I ran into was that the weight readings appeared to be consistently lower than my old scales. Assuming that this was a calibration issue with my old scales, I took the BC-568 to my local gym which has two professional scales. Upon weighing myself on all three scales (the two gym scales and the new BC-568) the new Tanita once again read lower than the two professional gym scales, which provided identical readings. As to the other data you can collect from the BC-568, all in all I found the data useful but, given my problem with the unit under reading my weight, I could not assume that any of the other data was correct. For this reason I returned the scale to Competitive Edge for a full refund, which I had to chase, twice, before the refund was credited to me. I will say that Competitive Edge were prompt every time I contacted them about my refund but the fact that I had to wait exactly two weeks, from the time that Competitive Edge received the returned scale, was disappointing. To conclude, if the scales had been accurate then I would have kept them. Having said that, the fact that there is no integration between the Tanita BC-568 and an app, or software, running on a computer (something I admittedly knew when I ordered the Tanita BC-568), would make me reluctant to recommend the Tanita BC-568 to someone interested in collecting and comparing data; to do so will require purchasing a more expensive Tanita model, also available at Competitive Edge.

Considero que este es un producto excelente y que todas las personas que cuidan de su salud deben tenerla en sus hogares

Fue una bascula que tardo algo en llegar a México pero al final la tengo a mi disposición. Es una bascula bastante completa para el análisis de la composición corporal además de solo el peso, la función de memoria es limitada a 4 usuarios pero tiene la posibilidad de "invitados" lo cual se pueden utilizar nutriólogos o estudiantes. Las mediciones que tiene son peso, % de grasa (segmental), kg de musculo (segmental), edad metabólica, kcal requeridas, % de agua, grasa visceral y kg de hueso lo cual la hace bastante completa. No tiene conexión a terceros por lo que llevar el registro tendrá que ser manualmente (o ocupar la memoria de usuario de la bascula) La recomiendo

Fácil de programar y permite leer el % de grasa, músculo y huesos total del cuerpo y por secciones incluida la grasa visceral

pésimo me llegó la caja estaba bien, pero al abrir la caja la bolsa en la que venía envuelta la báscula tenía un par de agujeros, la báscula está manchada.... y me dicen que no hay devolución, PÉSIMO

No me funcionó
