Great saw.
Fast cutting and can saw anything with the right blade. Havn't broke a blade yet. LOL. Have broke a few with other saws.

Great fret saw.
This may well be the best fret saw out there. I have been using Rob Cossman's fret saw for a while and it's a good saw I just think it is a little small. Also it is a right hand only tool. Not unusual as most tools are designed for right handed people. This saw however can be set up and used by us left handed woodworkers very quickly and it is a 5" working area which makes it so much easier to use when doing dovetails foe instance. This saw really tensions the blade very quickly and easily. Fantastic product. I would recommend very highly. This saw is a little hard on the wallet but it is worth the higher cost if this is a tool that you use a lot.

A ridgid Fret Saw
I do woodworking and have been looking for a saw to cut out dovetails (WASTE) . I was not having any degree of success with a standard coping saw. I saw this saw and ordered it. The saw arrived fairly fast, as was promised and I have tried it. IT WORKS GREAT ! My waste cutting ability improved with the very first cut. Wish I could have had it sooner. It is not a cheap saw but I am expecting many good years of use from it. Also, this one, a 5" saw with 45* detents is all that I require. You can get one with 360* rotations but they are more expensive and the 45* detents will be all that I need. As a side note, these blades are very fine, so you might want to order extras.

Great saw with a minor quirk to get past
Out of the box, this saw works great! However, it has a minor quirk to get past the first time you change the blade. When cutting with the included blade, the saw is amazing! However, the first time you change the blade, it will suddenly become the most frustrating saw you've ever used. The blade will snap loose as soon as you put tension on it. This seems to defeat the entire design of this tool. After lots of frustration, I would finally get the blade to stay in place only to have it sag during a cut as it would slowly slide looser and looser. I ruined about two blades before I did some searching online. Right on the manufacturer's website, they address this issue. You remove the screws that hold the blade in place, sand the end of them until the coating is removed, and put them back in place. After this, no issues! If you encounter this, go to the manufacturer's website, read the FAQ section, and watch the video. After this quick fix, the saw works great! So much better than the inexpensive coping and fret saws. I use it to cut dovetail waste and it tackles the job with no issue. I'm sure it will prove to be more versatile for me going forward. Overall, it's an awesome saw. I'm deducting one star given the frustration of the blade slipping. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but given the premium price, I expect not to encounter this. After all, if the issue is known enough to include it on their website, they should fix it in manufacturing. Regardless, I do highly recommend the saw! Just fix the problem on first blade change.

WORTH IT
I was hesitant to order this fret saw, especially when you can get a coping saw for 10 bucks. I was even thinking I would try it out and return it. I was having buyer's remorse while it was still in transit to me.When it arrived. I swapped out the blade it came with (12 tpi) and put in a 20 tpi blade. Swapping blades was super easy. The knobs loosen and tighten with ease, and the blade was secured in moments.Tensioning the blade was a breeze as well, simply twist a knob and flip a latch, until the blade 'sings' when you pluck it.I quickly scribed some dovetail lines into a board of maple, cut into it with my dozuki saw, and then dropped this fret saw with the 20 tpi blade into the kerf. I held my breath as I made the first few motions, and the blade cut into the wood. I kept my hand steady and cut a clean line clear across the distance of the tail, popping out the waste with ease.I barely had to chisel away any waste. This saw has single handedly transformed my dovetailing making process, it has cut off so much time, it is already worth it's price.

Great fret saw
This is an excellently made tool. It cuts true and holds up well on hardwoods and softwoods alike. I found the 5” to be more versatile than the 3” as it provided a deeper throat for cutting dovetails on wider board.

be aware of the faulty design of cuplink at handle
I was shocked to find that the coupling at the handle was made of very weak aluminum but held on to the handle's stub by two tiny set screws that pressed onto the stub bent back the weak aluminum coupling. I had to find the same size tiny screw and nut to pass through the hole I drilled into the stub to keep this piece in place. WHAT A HORRIBLE DESIGN. My 5 year old could have made a better design than this is. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING OF TO SELL THIS LIKE THIS.

Awesome for dovetails
This was a tough purchase to justify to myself, but I'm glad I did it. It cuts very well, because it is so balanced, it also lightweight and easy to use.I bought this specifically for cutting waste from my dovetail cuts. This purchase is a bit of a splurge for how I use it, but I don't regret it one bit.
