This makes it way easier since I already have an xbloom for coffee. I just throw in some loose leaf and start my recipe, and a cup of tea is poured in front of me. It's really cool how it siphons the water. The machine fills it up almost to the top, lets it steep based on the recipe, then adds just a bit more water to cause the siphon to dump all the freshly steeped tea into the cup. It repeats this however many times you specify in the recipe. Kinda like a Pythagorean cup, a.k.a. "greedy cup". I've seen some people have issues with the second steep siphoning too early, but I don't have that problem. Also, if your loose leaf is too fine, some of it will probably end up in the cup. Tea leaves have to be LARGE or they travel through the syphon and into the cup. Does not work consistently and has ruined many cups of tea. Tea particulate seems to interrupt the syphon and then when the machine is completing second or third steep, the water does not stay in the dripper and instead goes directly to the cup, resulting in an inadequately developed cup of tea. Love the idea but this definitely seems "beta" and not ready for market, especially for $50!
