Ready or Not – Day One Edition for PS5 is one of the most intense tactical shooters I’ve played in a long time. From the moment you start, it really puts you in command of a SWAT team, and every mission feels high-stakes. It’s not just run-and-gun — you actually have to think carefully, plan your approach, and make split-second decisions. One wrong move can change the whole outcome, which makes it feel so real and engaging. The Day One Edition gives you some great extras from the start, like the M32A1 grenade launcher, MK-V pistol, and 590M shotgun, which adds a bit more strategy when setting up your team or planning a breach. The variety of weapons and tools really lets you tailor your approach to each scenario, which I loved. What I like most is how the game focuses on strategy and teamwork. You’re managing threats, protecting hostages, and trying to keep your squad safe — it’s satisfying when everything comes together. Playing co-op with friends makes it even better, as communication and coordination really matter. Graphically, it looks solid on PS5. It’s not flashy, but the realistic feel of the environments adds so much tension and immersion. If you enjoy tactical shooters that require careful thinking and replayability, this game is incredibly rewarding. Definitely one of my favourite PS5 experiences recently.

I saw some gameplay on YouTube and knew I had to buy this game straight away. And I don't regret it. Yes the gameplay can be a tad clunky, sometimes your fellow SWAT team member don't do what you ask, and I would like a few mor missions BUT the game is great. I highly recommend it

Physical release came very quickly, in perfect condition. Game itself is pretty good.

A must-buy for tactical fans. It has its flaws due to collision bugs, but the gameplay loop is brilliant and worth every penny. If you want a fast-paced shooter, look elsewhere. Ready or Not is a hardcore, slow, and realistic SWAT simulator where one mistake costs you the entire mission. Pros: • Intense Atmosphere: Clearing rooms with your AI squad requires real strategy, gadgets, and patience. Completing a map with an A+ or S rank feels amazing. • Great Map Design: The levels are huge, detailed, and highly challenging, especially in the DLCs. • Perma-death Mode: The Iron Man mode offers incredible tension for veteran players. Cons: • AI & Physics Glitches: You will occasionally run into bugs, like civilians clipping into furniture or getting stuck in walls, which can ruin a perfect run. But I trust they will keep doing updates to fix these bugs, after it happens only on big maps.

Personally I'm really enjoying this game. Frustrating at times (in a good way) but challenging at the same time. If you think this is going to be like Rainbow Six or Call of duty running and gunning this will not be for you. Slow paced at times but with the added challenge. Plenty of choice with weapons and gadgets so you need to pick your team carefully for each mission. You can go in and take everyone down or use the non lethal approach for a higher grade result. A+ for me so will definitely be getting the DLC's as well.

I pre-ordered this having read the description and researched some gamer articles on-line. It was described as similar to the Rainbow 6 games which I absolutely loved back in the day. However, it doesn't come anywhere close. The graphics are unbelievably poor for a brand new PS5 game. It reminds me of batman arkham asylum from over 10 years ago. Between missions you're in an empty, non-interactive police station with only half a dozen rooms. There are a couple of officers dotted around and you can't even converse with them. They may as well be a lamp on a desk. In missions I've seen hostages/suspects handcuffed in a kneeling position, levitating in the air with limbs visible on the other side of a wall. Environments are not intractable at all. Missions are incredibly short with no storyline - each is separate from the other. Absolutely zero immersion. Controls are incredibly fiddly - to give one order you can go through several action wheels before reaching the desired action, during which time you begin being shot at. It's all frustratingly poor and within half an hour of "giving it a go" I turned it off. The fact this was compared in any way to rainbow 6 is incredibly insulting to a game released almost 20 years ago. Perhaps more fun in multilayer - which is not something I go for - but as for single player it's a no-go. Far better games out there despite being years older and much cheaper. I'm going to try returning this asap.

After a bit (a lot) of practice I finally got the hang of the controls and features of the game and could begin. I initially played through the campaign on the regular difficulty so I could really focus on tactics and how the AI works, upon completion of the game I tried again but this time I wanted to go S rank. It’s safe to say that after many hours, most spent on one particular mission, I completed it and only got a bit of PTSD. The game is so good in all aspects especially the realism. You forget to check a door? Game over. You forget to secure a target? Game over. There’s so much you need to take into account that constantly keeps you thinking. Give the game a go, and you’ll be as surprised as I was with how much there is to do
