Concord Grape Jelly, 30 Oz Jar

It arrived a little before time which is great, as the earlier that I get it the earlier I get to eat it! It's the best fruit-based spread. And it's great with a barbecue. A great ingredient for glazing food. Product packaging was good. Very secure but not excessive packaging. Easy to open.

アメリカのお弁当の定番、「ピーナッツバター＆ゼリーサンドイッチ」に、 よく使われるのが、こちらのウェルチのグレープゼリーです。 日本で言われる「ジャム」を想像していると「あれれ？」と思うかもしれません。 果肉は無く果汁＆糖分の、プルプルした「ゼリー」です。 ウェルチのグレープジュースを飲んだ事がある人は、 それが少し甘くなってゼリーになったと思えば、味が解りやすいかも。 パンを二枚用意して、片方にピーナッツバター（無糖のもの）片方にコレを塗って、 二つを合わせればサンドイッチの完成です。 以前、ピーナッツバターとゼリー両方がストライプ状に瓶に詰まった、 スマッカーズの「Goober」を試したことがありますが、 どうしても塗るときに混ざってしまって…。 別々に片面ずつ塗ったものは、カットすると断面が二色になって綺麗ですよ。 この商品、普通の「ぶどうジャム」として買うには微妙かもしれませんが、 アメリカの味、雰囲気を味わってみたい方にオススメです。 平均的なアメリカ人は、高校を卒業するまでに一人当たり1,500個の 「ピーナッツバター＆ゼリーサンドイッチ」を食べる…そうです（統計による）。

I grabbed Welch’s Concord Grape Jelly thinking it was just… jelly. Regular, basic, minding its business. WRONG. Why is it this good?? One bite and suddenly I’m spreading it on everything like I run a full breakfast café out of my kitchen. Toast? Covered. PB&J? Elite. Random spoon straight from the jar at midnight? Don’t judge me. It’s smooth, sweet, and that grape flavor is loud in the best way. Like not shy at all. It shows up and lets you know exactly why it’s been around forever. Also let’s talk about how it makes ANY sandwich taste better. You could mess up the peanut butter ratio completely and this jelly still saves the situation like a hero. Only problem? Self control. You will go back for “just a little more” about 5 times. If this is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
