Does the job perfectly and comes in fun color selections!
My spouse & I recently decided to abandon our Fitbit Zip devices -- too many battery & software problems lately. This pedometer is a perfect replacement. It's VERY easy to operate. It counts steps accurately, is easy to zero-out each morning & there are several convenient choices for carrying it. The battery shuts off when not in use for counting steps, so there is no wasted battery energy searching for bluetooth. We each got to select a fun color but the battery closure is different, apparently due to a model change. My battery compartment opens with a coin, my spouse's requires a small Phillips head screwdriver. It's the luck of the draw which you'll receive, I guess!

Scarily accurate and highly versatile!
This pedometer is worth every penny. You can wear it with the included clip or simply slide it out and slip it into your pocket. It is incredibly accurate. I compared it to Google Fit on my phone, and this standalone device is far superior. If you want a reliable tracker that just works, I highly recommend this one!

inexpensive, simple and works okay
I was satisfied with for years with my Fitbit inspire until Google bought them and started demanding to snoop on my data to combine with everything else that they collect. This alternative device just counts steps, period. No Bluetooth phone app. Yay. Can we keep just a little bit of Flocking privacy? Inexpensive. Simple to setup and start using. The big display is easier on older eyes. As for accuracy, it counted about 30% more steps on a familiar route than my Fitbit. But no way to tell which is more accurate. Manually counting small samples of 10-30 steps, it was about right. However, it did not seem to work when wearing on the lanyard. The main thing for me is comparing this device's step counts against itself from day to day. Other reviewers reported the clip eventually breaks. I removed mine and just carried in a front pocket. But if you do that, be careful if removing something else from the pocket. When I did that, it accidentally came out and bounced on the cement. Luckily it kept working, but I doubt the plastic will endure that too many times.

Great replacement - but problems exist (see Update #2)
I have used standard (pendulum) belt-clip pedometers for years, but the one problem they all had was that the plastic belt clip eventually broke. This replacement is great because it goes in my pocket, there's no clip to break, and I can't lose it. It's convenient and accurate. My only issue is that on 2 occasions I took it out of my pocket to read it and it was blank - not sleeping as the only cure was to hold the reset button and lose the count to that point. But even with that it's so much better than my old ones. I just hope the battery lasts. UPDATE- After the company saw this review, they contacted me and immediately sent a replacement. That unit has been working flawlessly for the last 2 weeks. They followed up periodically to make sure everything was OK. I was totally impressed by their proactive customer service and would not hesitate to deal with them again. UPDATE #2 I purchased a 3dFitBud in March 2019. It was great for a while, but one day I took it out of my pocket and it was blank and would not wake up until I reset it, thus losing my step counts for that day. It happened again a week or two later, so 3DActive sent me a replacement. That one did the same thing, as well as a second eplacement. My wife reminded me I had bought her one almost two years earlier, in July of 2017, and she no longer was using it, so for the last 2-1/2 months I've been carrying them both and recording the counts. The results are interesting. Some days they are very close, some days not, but on an overall basis over the 2-1/2 months they agree to within less than 1/2 percent. BUT: during that time, the 2019 model has failed 5 times, losing my count each time; the 2017 model has not failed yet. Sometimes the failure is such that I have to reset it, other times when I take it out of my pocket it is showing a very low count compared to what it should be - evidence to me that it failed and then eventually re-started counting. So I'm somewhat convinced that there is a software bug in the newer model. Evidently 3DActive doesn't believe that, because their only remedy is to send current replacements. I really like the pedometer and the fact that it works in any orientation and is pretty accurate, but it's frustrating to rely on it and then discover the day's counts were lost. I wish they would find and fix the software bug so I could buy another one with confidence.

Need a Simple Step Counter? This is IT!!!
If you're looking for a very basic step counter, this is it. How basic? No app, no heart/pulse/respiration/etc. monitoring, no clock, no route planner, no training tips, no complicated "how to measure your standard stride/step" set-up, etc. And that's why I chose THIS unit. I just want a lightweight step counter and that's what I now have with my 3D FitBud. The FitBud keeps very similar and faithful track of my steps when compared with my cph app. Easy to use. All you do is activate the battery, slip the FitBud to your jeans, shirt, whatever, and start walking! I LOVE that the FitBud snoozes when I am not walking and promptly resumes counting when I start walking again. No need to reset or tap to wake it up before resuming a walk. At the end of my day, I log the steps recorded on the FitBud and then clear the day's steps by holding the reset button for a few seconds until the screen clears. Next day, I pick it up and clip it, and start my day's steps counting again. The only downside (slight) is that the lens of the FitBud is somewhat easy to scratch. I brushed against something on the very first day of use and found a scratch across the lens. Now, I clip the FitBud on my jeans pocket with the lens side inside the pocket. Problem solved. The FitBud comes in a number of great colors. The modest price of the FitBud is so great that you can even have a wardrobe of FBs to suit your color preference of the day! Easy to use, lightweight, accurate, color choices, great price. Great buy.

Much better than I expected and simple.
This is just me. I had to put only 4 or 5 stars, but I say 4.5 stars only because I had to figure everything out at first. There is no charging. It is one of those little batteries inside that needs a very tiny Phillips Screwdriver to open up and replace it. But that is not needed until the battery wears out. It is working to perfection, and I did not have to select anything. I put it in my shirt pocket, and it only works when I take steps and not when I am driving. I never count laps anymore. Just steps. It is so nice to go off path and walk all over the place. And at 66 years old, I no longer walk briskly. Just normal walking and enjoying the scenery. Over 8500 steps daily, and I feel great. I can pause to talk to people or walk at a slower pace with my spiritual women or daughters' I hang out with once in a while. Just remember to keep hydrated with a good swallow once every 500 steps or so. It worked for me.

Clip Broke after 6 months
It works. The ten step delay is both a blessing and a frustration, and I got used to it. BUT after six months the clip finally broke at the hinge so it can't be anchored. I am still contemplating a "fix" for this since it overcounts the steps if allowed to swing free and while it fits in pockets, it's easy to lose or forget. Not a bad investment. ALMOST a satisfactory replacement for my FitBit One which I loved (lost from a pocket some years ago). Hated the newer versions of the Fitbit - I don't WANT to track anything but my steps, not a fantasy of calories burned, no GPS positioning, no options for bicycles and water sports, no heart rate or blood pressure, just steps... Simple.

Accurate, good build, easy to use
Received product on time. Fits the description. The step counter is sturdy but the belt clip feels a little flimsy, a lanyard is provided with it. Simple and easy to use
