Get the extended warranty add-on. Might be the best overall design out there but may not last long.
3/5 base line: is what it should be does what it says (function, range, etc.)Overall+1 seemingly solid well made units+1 multiple week battery life for both units- 1 vinyl collar that could fit around many dogs torsos (like my 50 lb dog), leaves so much extra that canโt be secured so that it has to be cut to size rather than be flexibly adjustable- 1 shock not 100% reliable. Collar positioned correctly and maximally tightened. Itโs a problem across all such devices field, but immediate feed back to sporadic unpredictable events is the key to it being useful for training- 3 collar unit seems to have crapped out. Charged but lost pairing and canโt reestablish following pairing directions. This is after about 2 months. Will revise if I can resolve with more experimenting. Update: unsolvable, company doesn't respond.Relative to category:+1 dedicated buttons for each function and vibration and shock adjustment buttons. (Vs stupid mode switching which dramatically reduce the possibility of instant feed back)+ 2 auto on, and complete of function for any button. After display auto-off pressing any button turns it back on AND carries out the function of that button with out delay. Again, very good for instant feedback and unique among the 13 or so collars I have tried.+1 LED flashlight on remote. Thoughtful addition when taking your dog out in the dark.+1 Only collar that I have seen that has a split cord that allows charging collar and remote from one unit-1 Split cord has 2 unique plugins rather than something standard like micro USB seen on other collars/remotes. Don't loose it!Subjective+/- vinyl collar. Shiny and very much stands out as an odd collar apart from the shock box. Looks ugly to start and quickly gets worse with weather and time vs something like the woven material of a regular collar. Would love to see one that can securely but easily hook on and off of standard collars but so far never have.Indeterminate+/- comes with silicone buds to cover the metal studs. Reportedly to prevent electric burns/necrosis. Not all collars come with these buds so maybe this is extra responsible. However, it may contribute to the shock being less reliable. (results in more rounded ends vs just the more pin point studs that would seem to go through the fur more easily)NotesDespite shock only being about 80% reliable vibrate function will always be felt and is for my dog, so far, good at getting his attention or as a cue.

Not strong enough for large dogs
I'm updating this review to 4 stars. We have been using this on a smaller, less-excitable dog and the collar works well.Good: Light weight, collar can fit almost any size dog, strong beep, remote easy to use and the battery lasts a long time. Not so good: If you need the shock a large dog will ignore it when they are excited. I don't shock my dogs unless it is absolutely necessary, in this case to keep them from going over/through our six foot tall fence. Zoning prohibits taller fences. These are adult dogs that were rescued and they knew how to jump/break a fence before they came to us.I've shocked myself with collar at 100% and it is a light jolt akin to a strong static discharge. I ordered Garmin training collar and this collar at 100% produces a shock about that of the Garmin at 40%.One of our dogs responds well to the beep and the other totally ignores it. Same for the vibrate feature.

awesome customer service.
After less than a month the shock setting is not working on the collar consistently. . It seemed to work at times and then not work. Itโs very frustrating when The device you buy does not work as it should. It seemed to do all three settings when we received it but now we can only beep and vibrate which when in pursuit of a squirrel has no effect on our dog. I would hope that we could resolve this by getting a collar that works a properly.I am updating my review to reflect the customer service with Idoula Stands behind their product and kindly gave me a refund for the collar. I appreciate them standing behind their product. I think perhaps I just got a defective collar but would gladly try product again.

Great short term solution to stop unwanted behavior.
I was hesitant about using a shock collar on our fur baby, but it turned out to be an excellent choice.Since using the collar as a training aid; we have seen great improvement in unwanted behavior..We only needed to set ours to 30 (1-100 with 1 being the lowest setting) for training purposes. This is a short term solution for those owners that have tried everything else first....and this is a their "last resort".It's not harmful to the pet and I actually tried it on myself first. It feels like a prickling sensation that just gets your attention. I would start off with the lowest possible setting to to see what level works best for your pet.I highly recommend the Idoula Dog Training Collar.

I asked for a new collar because I cut the one that came with it too short, I still have not received the collar that you put on your dog

Great product for the price!!
I can not say enough good things about this product! I have a 9 lb Pomeranian who is very adventurous. The beep, vibrate and shock modes are perfect to keep him close to me. I can now leave my back door open without fear of him running wild through the neighborhood.

Remote is dead
I purchased 2 of them. Used it maybe 4 or 5 times. put them away after turning off. Then decided to use it again last week and i was so disappointed cause the other remote control is completely dead. Tried charging it and did not even do anything. Of course the return window is closed. :(
