Will Atom One help with severe hearing loss?

Under FDA rules, our OTC hearing aids—including Atom One—are for mild to moderate loss, not severe. If loss is severe, see a hearing professional. Atom One covers talk, TV, and calls; Atom X and ION Pro 2 add noise cancelling and app control.

How do I get the fullest sound and volume?

Start with the volume and frequency dials at their lowest. Turn volume up to a comfortable loudness, then turn frequency up until speech is clear but not tinny. A good dome seal matters too—try each size until sound is rich with no whistling.

Why do they whistle or squeal?

Whistling (feedback) almost always means the dome isn't sealed—push it in until snug or move up a size. If it continues, lower the volume slightly and check your ears for wax, which reflects sound back out. It's a fit issue, not a defect.

They feel too big or fall out.

To insert them, pull your ear up and back with one hand and insert the device with the other so it sits fully in the ear canal. Try all of the included dome sizes to find your best seal — a different size usually seats deeper and holds

How long until I get used to them?

Wear them as much as you comfortably can from day one—consistent all-day wear helps your ears and brain adapt fastest. Full adjustment takes 2-4 weeks; some fullness or awareness of new sounds is normal at first and settles with regular use.
