X5 Invisible Dive Case

This is a great diving case, a must have if you are taking your x5 underwater. One small downside to the case is that it is quite scratch prone. So you must be extra careful with it. Compared to the x4 dive case, I’ve used one in the past, I believe this one has a larger form factor.

Works perfectly with the insta360 x5. Comes with adapters so you can use with the invisible selfie stick. I used it in Tahiti without the antifog pads and had clear pictures with no fog though I loaded it up dry inside my hotel room with low humidity and totally dry. I’d probably use the pads if I was out on a boat or on the beach when setting it up. The only downside I had is that holding the insta360 in one hand makes it much harder to swim in strong currents. The dive case is a good investment for the camera.

First time purchase and use of insta360 products and a quality camera in general. The case performed as advertised and I couldn’t be happier with that. 4-stars due to the moister absorbers coming loose after correct installation and ruining the shot (multiple times). We were in 85 degree and likely 100% humidity which, despite only taking seconds from opening the absorber and closing the dive case, caused the absorbers to become flimsy and easily come loose (even transferring from front to back of the case while using it). I think the absorbers could be larger so that they are held in place better or have secondary notches on the other side of the case. I’ll have to figure out a make shift fix going forward. Still happy overall but disappointed that learning on the fly didn’t work out so well. Picture quality was good. The carry case was great both in the water and on land. There was never any water intrusion into the case so it protected the X5 camera well.

Great case.. but be incredibly careful with it. It doesn't fog up that easily, which is wonderful. However it scratches WAY too easily. For $100 it should at least be a bit more durable. Any scratch on it will show up in all footage. Keep a cover on it at all times until the second you need to start using it. I learned the hard way. I was being cautious and just the slightest contact with anything will scratch it.

Update Review- it's good now! I was early in getting the Insta360 Dive Case and it leaked and my snorkel videos from the Galapagos were trash. BUT I now have the improved version, in part with updates made by the seller from my feedback. Pleased to share that while Cozumel isn't the Galapagos, the housing now stays sealed water tight... No leaks and the buttons now are fully functional without any issue. I can now recommend buying it.

Imprescindible para tus inmersiones! Es sólida y fácil de usar. El resultado es realmente bueno. No te olvides de configurar tu cámara para usar con carcasa.

Original! I was skeptical that it will just be the case itself but it came with a dive pouch, anti fog slits, screws and adaptor for the invisible selfie stick. It is expensive than buying directly from insta 360 but at least you know it's original and easy to get here, especially when it's urgently needed.
