Carhartt makes really excellent shirts for men. They are available in several colors and extended sizes. These in particular are my husband's favorite. He wears them almost every day and they go through a heavy wash and regular dry. They hold their shape, don't stain, and come out with almost zero wrinkles every time. They feel just a touch thicker than average t-shirt material, but it's not so much that they're too hot. They are comfortable when tucked in or worn out.
