T&G CrushGrind Tip Top Stainless Steel Salt Mill with Glass Base, 12.5 cm, Silver

I bought this, as when it's not in use, it's inverted i.e. salt does not escape when standing on the table, like most other brands do; I'm forever cleaning the wasted salt up AND the metal grinding mechanisms on most other salt mills tend to rust with the chemical reaction of salt with any kind of metal. With the ceramic mechanism, I can grind VERY finely with a very good yield i.e. you don't have to twist it incessantly for a lot of ground sea salt to be spread on your food.It's easier to fill than my other salt mill, but still not as easy as I would like i.e. you can use a teaspoon to fill it so the opening is larger AND it is without that aggravating metal bar in most other salt/pepper mills.I've been using the Cornish Sea Salt brand in this product, which is somewhat moist and sticks to the walls of the glass container, but the ceramic grinder works well with this product.

So far my new salt and pepper pots are fantastic. I've had quite a few over the last couple of years and they have either been useless from the start or stopped working after a very short time. These ones feel really robust, they grind really effectively and the fact that they are the 'wrong way up' is genius as it means they don't leak between uses and leave a mess on your surface. So far I would highly recommend them

These are without doubt the best grinders , adjustable from fine to course , easy to fill and they don't leave a mess on the work top when you put them down. Stop thinking and invest.

It's OK but the size of the ground pepper seems to be increasing and is now larger than I would like. Twisting the grey knob on the top seems to make no difference at all.

These are fantastic. Bought as a gift for very fussy brother. 2 years on he says they are still brilliant. No mess, adjustable.

Just buying my second salt pot. I already have the salt and pepper set. Loved them because they don't spill over the table etc. Better than any previous sets blah blah.... However needing to replace the salt pot after a year hasn't impressed me much but it's cheaper than buying a new set.
