Why I purchased the Rokid Max 2 is because it is designed to deliver a high-quality augmented reality experience, so I would like to highlight what I think makes it stand out. Key Features of the Rokid Max 2 AR Glasses High-Resolution Display: The Rokid Max 2 features a 1080p resolution per eye, which is pretty impressive for AR glasses, in my experience it has crisp, clear visuals that do not disappoint. Here’s why: I was looking for an XR interface that would allow me to connect to my phone and laptop for productivity. I’m an office worker and software engineer, and I wanted something to help bring my visual interfaces in the space around me so I could work sitting or being anywhere. For what these glasses ended up being, I would’ve paid $199, maybe even just $99 for what it did. First off, it did NOT work at all on my iPhone Air, supposedly only earlier iPhone models. It worked on my laptop, but ultimately it was just a oled screen that was affixed to where your head was, and the screen moves as you move your head: it does NOT stay fixed where you want. I think I read it needed the spatial computing unit which again is just not worth the price yet. It was pretty comfortable wearing, however the bulky part of the glasses that sits against the forehead gets very, very hot and that was not fun. 2 stars because I think this technology is heading in the right direction, but this was absolutely not worth the price.
