COOKWELL & CO 2 Step Green Chile Stew Mix, 33 OZ

I make a pork chili stew with this product in my slow cooker that is so delicious & easy!! It saves so much time & effort than making the chili stew from scratch. I serve it over rice!! It’s a fabulous tasting product!!

I found this product at a local grocery store and you know the saying "all good things must come to an end". I was so glad I found it on Amazon. It makes around 14 enchiladas.

This green chile stew was good, my husband liked it. I cooked it in a crock pot with chicken breasts and served it over rice. I am not a fan of cilantro, and I could taste it in this stew so it was fairly strong. Usually I'm ok with cilantro in commercially bottled products but in this one the taste came through strongly and I just couldn't get over that.

Well, yum, yum, yummy. My son left a bottle of this in my pantry and I probably wouldn't have ventured to buy it myself. This is the MOST simple toss together solution for a quick dinner EVER. You can make your recipe as simple as brown some meat (I like chicken the best so far) and pour on the sauce. Simmer a bit and serve. I put it over rice to soak up all the amazing juice. The sauce is medium thick. The recipes on the back suggest adding corn. I've tried chopped cherry tomatoes...very good, or you could go crazy and add a bunch of Mexican inspired ingredients. Avocado would be great on top.The flavor is excellent. Doesn't taste like it came out of a jar at all. Medium spicy. If you like really hot, you can certainly add some heat with peppers of any sort.It could work in or over a burrito but not so much for tacos unless you add plenty of meat for substance.

What the H%^&, 32+ dollars for ONE jar.... I just as well order from Kansas City Steak and got at least a meal for less.

I used a full jar and poured it over a 5 pound pork butt and slow cooked for 12 hours. With a fork, it was very easy to shred. I froze half to eat later and used the other half for pork sandwiches and/or put in tortillas for burritos adding cheese, salsa, lettuce or whatever else you like for burritos. It was the best sauce ever and the family loved every bite. Yum!
