Maelstrom TacForce 8" Men US 10 Tan Combat Boot UK 9 EU 43 : desertcart.co.uk: Everything Else Review: Great boots. Super quality. Great price. Recomended Review: I bought these to wear mainly as a hiking and outdoor boot. The good: They are super light, very comfortable even with the factory insole, they are a pretty good fit, and they perform their expected duties with flying colors. No foot fatigue, no hotspots, no comfort issues whatsoever. I've had them almost a month, and have put roughly ten miles a week over uneven rocky terrain, gravel, through mud and shallow creeks, with a bit of manicured trail hiking - nothing hardcore, but not simple evening strolls. So far, so good. The not-so-good: The laces they come with are not trail-worthy. Might as well have a good pair ready for these. And some of the stitching is a little half-assed. Not atrocious, but not exactly quality workmanship. But for seventy bucks delivered, these things can be let go. The bad: I've had to use shoe adhesive on the sole three times in as many weeks. That doesn't bode too well. Hopefully, what I haven't glued already stays glued. I'd feel odd if most of the "sturdy cement construction" came from a bottle I bought. To sum it all up, the price is right and they're featherlight and comfy. Just gonna have to wait out the durability issue. I'll update in six months or if anything major happens. All in all, they seem to be a worthwhile purchase. Edit 6.2.15 Well, I've had to use adhesive quite a few more times on the soles, so I've stopped going hiking in them. I don't really wanna end up three or four miles out and have the sole completely seperate. But, there is a vacant spot for yard work and general beat-em-up use that they will fill nicely. I'm keeping the four stars for comfort, and in Maelstrom's defense, the abuse I put these through is usually reserved for Salomons, Danners, or Lowas - boots that cost well upwards of two bills, so I can't really fault the manufacturer. Anyway, they shall live on, albeit in a different capacity than I purchased them for.

This is my second pair of these type of boots. I love them great to climb trees, and to do tree work.
