Would buy again
So far so good. Is pretty easy to set up. Would have been easier without the cable company monopolizing it's use and setup. I like that it offers 5g and 2.4 separately allowing the use of 2 separate passwords and not having to change setting when trying to connect items to internet. I like it being one unit in one taking up less space. It has a nice appearance without a bunch of flashing lights. I've had this about a month it seems stable. The only thing I don't like is it seems to take a long time to boot up. When using it's stable no lagging no matter how many items in use fast and reliable.

Connecting to Cox gives a false not compatible message
For Cox customers, when I setup my modem with cox, at the finish it was saying that it was not a compatible modem with Cox Service, but it was functioning fine. We were connected to the internet and everything was green on the Cox side. (I called to verify it was compatible)

Didn't work. -- no Internet connectivity through WiFi, and 2 aborted setup attempts
Setup aborted prematurely, and I could never get the WiFi access to connect to the Internet. I don't recommend this item.

Excellent router/modem, been reliable so far, cost savings, smooth set-up
Arris G18: it’s noticeably faster and robust compared to my old one (which was a dinosaur though). Basically doubled my speeds. Set-up fairly smooth/easy; didn’t have to call Xfinity once and entirely connected using “new equipment” steps online. My HP printer is old, 2.5mbps, and wasn’t obvious at all how to connect to the new network. Done through Arris URL, settings where it “finds” the printer and I easily added it to the network - worked perfectly, problem is it’s not obvious how to do it. Also very pleased to purchase for $60, Amazon “like new” and save on Xfinity rental fee.

Do not buy. Poor product and very poor tech support.
Atrocious tech support. Did not work out of the box. Confusing apps and website that do not function. Hours spent trying to setup with poor tech support. Don't buy.
