is the base removed if I want to mount this on something else?

Dear customer, Thank you for your interest in our product. We understand that you would like to know if the base can be detached. Please note that the base cannot be detached from the main body. What are the numbers made from?

Dear customer, Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you would like to know what numbers are made of in "mooas Flip Desk Clock". The numbers in the clock are made using PVC material, which is one of the kinds in plastic. We hope this is helpful for your inquiry. If you have additional questions about this product, please let us know. We will be more than happy to help you. Thank you! Sincerely, Mooas Inc.

The correct answer is given by the company. This clock is NOT silent, but is in no way loud. I have decent hearing and have it placed on my desk, about 15" from me, and can hear the mechanism. It is faint, but you can definitely hear it, as stated by the seller. If this clock were on the other side of the room, I would not hear anything but the slight 'clack' of the number cards.

Can you see the time in the dark?

It depends how dark it is. In low light it's possible, but it doesn't glow in the dark.
