Villa Jerada Urfa Biber Purple Sun Dried Pepper Flakes from Turkey, 1.76 oz

I first had this at a local cafe, on avocado toast. It was so striking and delicious I decided I needed a jar for home use. It's amazing, a light "fluffy" pepper texture that works perfectly on scrambles and other similarly textured food that could use a boost. It also came with a sample tin for sharing.

Worth every penny, depth of flavors, unique and complex, unlike all other peppers, chocolate, earth, slight sweetness.

I was expecting a hot spice there was no "kick" just a visual image.

This is probably my new favorite condiment. I've added it to everything to shrimp scampi as well as roasted cauliflower for an added kick of sweet, smoky spice.It's just so versatile and really complements foods in such a subtly impactful way. Will be buying several of these going forward.

What a great flavor this adds - I have always avoided red pepper flakes in recipes, finding them tangy but dull. These are full of flavor and add so much to a dish - I am using them all the time!

I love this spice but not happy that it expires in less than 8 months. Says jan 2023 on bottom of jar.
