Great handheld radio with GPS. Black LCD, upgraded menu system with sub menus, 10 memory banks of 100 memories each, 10 watt transmit. Tri-band TX/RX (2m, 1.24m, 70cm bands) GMRS and MURS TX capable. RX on NOAA weather channels, Aircraft band, and police band. Easily programmable on Chirp using Baofeng UV-21ProGPS setting.

Probably my new favorite hand held. The banking feature is my favorite so I can have different frequency lists for different needs/situations. Wish you could buy the battery separately though to have extras

Have reasonable expectations. If you are in the US not using the programming software us your better choice, program them by hand. The Antenna provided may not give you the best results for every band this radio is capable of receiving and transmitting on. If you've owned a Baofeng before, you know what I mean. There are some positive points. The power is decent, and with 3 power modes selectable it can extend battery life. The screen is large enough to easily read and you can display text names for channels not just frequencies. The GPS function is accurate and I can see it being helpful if you are the group that always looses a hiker. It is a full sized radio but not awkwardly so like some of their other models. Sound quality is a little better than I have come to expect from these radios. Value for money, depending on what you expect it to do.

Excellent multi function durable. Easy to set up

As someone that is just getting started into radios I got this because of the app program ability. The app is definitely not friendly to use. Not to mention you have to get it from a website, not directly supported from Google play. The radio itself works well. It just didnt fulfill what the appeal of using it with the app. I will say though that programing it using the actual radios interface is much easier than a regular baofang.

Love this ham radio the best I ever bought and I bought this brand lots of different models but stop buying them and go buy you this model it took me about 3 days for figure out the download app to make radio work finely found the app for my android phone but app did not work that great I am more a chirp user but I found out the radio has chirp built in it I can do more manually programming and naming the channels with out app and or use of computer now i am cooking the programming up a storm

I was really looking forward to trying this new radio, I got it programmed tested it and it worked fine. I plugged in the handheld mic/speaker option and it messed up the PTT. It worked at first but after removing the handheld PTT no longer functioned. I know this is a common issue with the cheap kenwood style plug inputs baofeng uses I sure wish they would fix this on newer radios, anyway sent it back very first day.

I can't tell you how much I really like these radios I have a bunch of ham radios but these are nice they're nothing like the UV5 R's there have a modern look and feel to them and they punch through with a lot of power very nice radios actually if you pick these up you won't be disappointed!
