1GB Memory RAM Upgrade for the Dell Dimension E510, E520, E521 (DDR2-667, PC2-5300)

I ordered this memory to upgrade two dell computers, a Dimension E521 and an E510. The memory I received was Samsung 1Gb DDR2-667,PC2-5300. I put four of these in the E521 and it has worked great. This computer is Vista SP2 and recognizes four GB of memory total. I added 1Gb to the E510 which already had three 1GB modules installed. The E510 is only recognizing 3.25 GB apparently due to the limitations of the XP operating system. This computer is not operating well, but may have some other issues. Shipment was very fast using expedited delivery. I received the memory in three days.

Clients computer that really needed help. Works great.

I have a friend who is low on funds and his E320 (if I recall correctly) was so slow it was almost moving backwards. I removed alot of junk and malware ect. It was moving along well. Replacing the processor and/or the motherboard would not be cost efficient. He was running XP pro and only had 2 - 500 mb chips taking up 2 of 4.I ordered 4 one GB chips, of course I pulled the 2 500's out. And it ran as though it came right out of the box but faster. I would have liked an invoice to give him to pay me back. I could have printed my order details from Amazon. But he is my friend, I just let it go. For the price and quality you cannot go wrong. The BIOS picked them right up on the first boot. It was received on time as promised, nothing but a good experience all around. What else can you ask for.

Ordered 4 modules. One failed to work at all. Sent the inoperative module back and re-ordered a new 1 GB module. This one worked fine. All four of the installed modules have been working well for the last five months.

I bought 2 gb ram, so far it worked well and it is not really expensive. I just hope the ram would last long enough. Moreover, the product came really fast.

It arrive before it was supposed to and it was exactly what I ordered. The first part was nice, the second expected. It's a memory stick. Not much you can say outside of : It worked when I plugged it in [or not]. It was nice to be able to place an order using just the machine's name rather than checking through the actual specs for the part (which I wouldn't have minded doing, but I'm geeky that way and many aren't). My machine could hold one more of these and I would be happy to get that from the same place.

Did not do anything to speed up my computer. Also, now sometimes I can`t open a news event without it coming on and off repetitively. I should have returned the RAM but never got around to it. However, I do not know enough about computers to blame anyone.

Unfortunately, the problem was that I needed a new motherboard. However, I tested the memory and it seems to work great. Can't wait to try it out in a better board, I shall have a fully functional E521 again. :) Thank you!!
