Perfect for those specific tasks.
I like this shovel for working in tight spaces. The diameter of the shovel is a good fit for my average sized hands. The round handle makes it easy to use when in tight spaces. One of those right tools for the right job. It’s very sturdy and a great addition to my garden shed.

Excellent shovel.
Very happy with this shovel. Purchased this for my 4 year old and a different shovel for my 6 year old. The other one broke on first use, returned it and purchased a second one of these. Both boys love this shovel and it has held up great. Highly recommend it.

Good backpacking tool for prospecting!!
I liked the utility of the round handle as I want to bring it along when I'm prospecting... My only adaptation will be to drill a series of drainage holes to fast empty the water in each scoopful when water is present...My choice for strength/durability/price...
