Finally got it to connect
Update, I did finally get the mouse to connect by Bluetooth to my Macbook. Snd it works properly.

Regarding Bluetooth Mouse.
I wanted a bluetooth mouse for my IPAD. This device was able to deliver what I need. I would encourage other people to pay it. It's affordable in price, and very user friendly.

Beware! The mouse looks shabby and worn, scratched.
The surface finish of the plastic mouse is all mottled and worn and scratched. You might expect a mouse to look like this after a decade of daily use, but not a new product. This is how the package arrived, and though it's hard to show in photos, in person it looks really shabby. Not in any condition to give as a gift.

Nice mouse at a great price.
The low profile is handy if you’re a mobile user and pack up your devices to move around. In use the low profile vs. bulkier designs is strictly a personal preference. I’m still getting used to the low profile. The selectable DPI range is nice for adjusting the device to your mouse technique. Rechargeable is a big plus over replacing batteries of course. The dual Bluetooth/USB is a nice choice to have. I was more interested in the Bluetooth option to get rid of the USB dongle that I’ve had that can snag on things and get in the way. Unfortunately, I was never able to get this mouse to connect with Bluetooth. It showed up as an available device in my Windows 10 laptop but never would synch and operate. It did synch OK with an Android tablet so I suspect it’s a problem with my old laptop and not this mouse. It works just fine in the USB mode. The power/mode switch on the bottom protrudes just a bit and can drag if you have a soft mousing surface. I was concerned that it could cause wear over time so I put a bit of tape over it. It seems the expected use is to never turn the mouse off but just let it time out into standby mode so once you pick your USB/Bluetooth mode you’ll never use the switch anyway. But, a different style or more recessed switch would be a better design. The listed “User Manual” is a single 3½” square of paper (see pictures), printed on both sides with very tiny type in English and Japanese and/or Chinese (I can’t tell the difference). Fortunately, it’s not a complicated device and most can probably get along with no instructions.
