Excellent Solar Panel — Terrible Amazon Return Quality Control
The BigBlue 25W upgraded solar panel system itself is honestly great. It charges reliably, folds up nicely, feels durable, and performs well outdoors. For hiking, camping, or emergency backup power, I’d absolutely recommend the actual product. It’s lightweight and efficient, and the panel quality seems solid. That said, Amazon seriously needs to get control of its returned-item reselling situation. My box arrived missing 2 carabiners and 1 USB-C cable. Of course, the manufacturer wants you to use their specific cable setup, so that was pretty frustrating right out of the gate. This clearly looked like a returned item that was restocked without anyone actually checking the contents. That’s not really on BigBlue — the product itself is excellent — but Amazon’s warehouse quality control is slipping hard lately. So: 5 stars for the panel system. Maybe 2 stars for Amazon fulfillment roulette. Double-check your box contents when it arrives.

Underperforms specs, but works well.
Works great but underperforms. In Full Sun, Noon, Jule 30th in Michigan the most I could get was 14W combined when using both USB A and C ports and with only the USB C port, only 11.1 Watts. It works for me, and is better than my 10 yr old panel rated at 7W that I ly gave me 3W. Just temper your expectations and don't expect 20W or more.

works and very portable
folds into small package, well made. Charged a 10,000 portable power bank in about 6 hours in the sun. Great back up item and small and lite. Highly recommend. Very well made, wish it came in a small case, has an elastic strap to hold it closed, but very happy with it overall

Great solar panel
This solar panel works really well! It charges about 1000 mAh per hour based on my very basic testing. I brought it with me on a 3 day backpacking trip, just to test it out. It packs up compact and is very easy to use. The price fluctuates on this product, so I recommend waiting for a coupon or price drop, to get the vest bang for your buck.

SOLID! Charges in overcast skies.
This thing is great. I charge my phone and battery packs on it. Even on cloudy days it still charges. In full sun in L.A. it took about two hours to charge a 5000 mah battery. I might buy another just to keep in my truck.

Waste of space in a backpack.
If you want a toy or something to play with or you are base camping in the desert- go for it. If you actually need a solar charger that you can depend on, keep looking. I bought this for a week- long canoe- in camping trip in Minnesota. The weather wasn't great, and this charger proved fairly worthless. I had read prior to going that these are only good for recharging a power bank, not for actually charging the phone or anything you need the charge to, so I was semi- prepared for that. I wasn't, however, aware that it will actually pull power from your phone due to how glitchy it is. My phone went from 28% power to less than 10% in about an hour of being plugged in to this charger in direct but setting sunlight. On the cloudy days it wouldn't even charge the power bank. I did have it plugged in for an entire day one day, babysitting it all day long to keep moving it to stay in direct light, and it brought my power bank from 1 bar of charge up to 4, (6-8 hours) but even then it wasn't even fully charged. It got me enough power to charge my phone to make it home that last day, but overall was mostly a waste of space in my backpack. I would have been better off bringing a second power bank rather than trying to rely on this.

A handy and compact Solar panel
My review is to help you with your choice when it comes to your expectations of what this product is capable of and delivers in regards to its use case and scenario etc. This solar panel works best one of two ways; perfectly flat on the ground during mid day. If it is not mid day your are going to have to prop it up on something to catch the angle of the sun. That means working against the design of the product as it's origami nature is floppy and will want to fall over close etc no matter how well you find something to prop it up against with it. This is a nightmare and you will be screaming. The second is actually using this with the included carabiners on a back pack. Handling it this way is the true second best way to use the product. And don't worry about oh will I be facing against the sun or something. In my life I've come to find that the sun for some reason is always behind me and never in front. So yes more than often it will be catching light by hanging off of your pack. Also expectations about wattage/output. I've owned two. The first one could output 12 Watts while my newer second one can only output 5 watts. While 5 watts is acceptable do keep that in mind. Also the C port doesn't have enough depth. It's like it's it can only accept 3/4 of the C connection. I don't recall this issue on my first unit. So depending on which one you get again my first one didn't do this will probably be falling out. So it's probably best to stick with the A port. All in all I'm pleased with my purchase(s) and am thankful for the back up and life giving opportunity this product has given me.

Very efficient. I got 19 watts in direct sunlight.
Used on my himalayas hike to EBC. You cannot find quality solar panels like this in Kathmandu, circa 2026. Buy one before you get to Nepal, and you’ll have power for your cell phone even once you get to the higher villages where they start charging for power use. You won’t need it really until Loboche.

Great for BackCountry
Although less output than advertised it performs competitively to other foldable small solar panels. Its key advantage is in the compactness it offers for backcountry camping. Keeps the small power bank, phone, Inreach, GPS /watch units charged easily with a couple of hours with good, bright sunlight.

La impermeabilidad no he podido comprobarla, afortunadamente.

Le must en rando autonome
Juste excellent.
