TUDIA Slim-Fit CYGEN Dual Layer Protective Case for OnePlus One (Matte Black)

I had previously owned the TUDIA Ultra Tough OMNIX [Heavy Duty] Hybrid Full-body Protective Case with Front Cover and Built-in Screen Protector / Impact Resistant Bumpers Cover for OnePlus One (Metallic Slate) which is another excellent quality case from Tudia. The only issue that I had with that case is that it made the already rather large (but still slim enough) OnePlus One into a behemoth. That case looked and felt great, however, and protected my phone from numerous drops. But the phone always felt a bit too large in it for me, especially in the pocket. When my glass screen protector cracked (nothing to do with the previously mentioned Tudia case, it was just the angle of the fall) I decided to go ahead and replace the protector, and look for a new, slimmer case, that still offered drop protection. As previously stated, I was very impressed and satisfied with my other Tudia case, so I wanted something from the Tudia product lines. I settled on this case, as it seemed to meet all of my requirements of being slimmer while still providing adequate protection. The case met all my expectations. It fits very snugly, the phone does not move inside the case at all. It is very attractive looking - I got the metal slate color, which is smooth on the back, but does not feel slippery like some other plastic cases. The attention to detail is very nice - for instance the thermoplastic I believe they call it (the rubbery inner layer) even covers the small space between the rear camera and led flash. Most cases just have a cutout for that entire portion. The volume button portion feels very nice and clicky, like pushing actual buttons rather than the mushy feeling that can be found on some other cases. The power button portion is a little more mushy - nothing bad, just not as good as the volume buttons. It's just a little more difficult to get feedback that it was pressed (other than the obvious feedback - screen goes on and off). I use the double tap to wake up function of the OPO more often than the power button, so I hardly ever notice it. As for durability, I can only assume it will hold up nearly as well as my aforementioned larger Tudia case. Only time will tell. That case, however, stood up to a lot of abuse and dirty environments and paint ( I work as a painting contractor ). So I assume this one will as well. I'll update this review once I've owned it longer, and talk more to its durability. As for price - this a great value. I got it for $12.99. It looks and feels a whole lot more expensive than that. If you need a case for your OnePlus One, and you have $12.99 to spend, and you like one of the colors this case is offered in (or even if you don't) - just buy it.

Case fits OnePlus One as if it was designed by OnePlus, adds very little bulk if any. Provides excellent edge protection for the screen and this phone needs edge protection, because the screen is raised above the body of the phone. As far as looks, I think it is one of the best looking and best fitting cases for the OnePlus One. I have both of the cases that are offered by OnePlus for this phone and this provides MUCH better protection than either of those choices, the factory flip case as well as the clear case provide NO protection for the top, or bottom of the phone...the screen is totally exposed along those edges, so one drop on either surface what contacts the edge of the screen and you'll be begging OnePlus for a replacement screen (good luck with that, the phone is nearly impossible to get, so I'm sure that the parts will be ten-fold harder to get...). The vendor promised delivery within 4-6 weeks (case comes from Taiwan to distribution point in Minnesota), but my case came in 3 weeks, so the vendor exceeded the promised date. The case came packaged well and all being said, it is a good price for an excellent case. i would recommend the case as well as the vendor.

Fits very well and is worth the price. Ive been using this along with a Nihilin tempered glass screen and both of these cover the phone completely. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a very strong and reliable case that also looks good. UPDATE: After more than 6 months of usage I can safely say that this is one of the best covers around. It has protected my onePlus during, innumerable drops and still only has scratches on the back from keeping the phone in my pocket along with keys and spare change.The slightly high ridge on the front face also protects the phone if it falls face first. It has not lost any form or quality.

This is a great sturdy case. I got the color "metal slate," which is not metal, but the phone feels well protected and it fits like a glove. I guess if you're looking for a metal case, the fact that this is not metal would bring the rating down a couple stars. Has a good grip, doesn't obscure any important ports, has good button covers. Haven't dropped the phone (*knock on wood*) so I cannot say how it stands up to that, but I feel more confident in the phone's survival if it were to hit the ground. **Update** I have now had this case for about 5 months, and I am disappointed with the appearance of the case. The paint/covering over the plastic of the hard back on the case has since started chipping away in places making the case look cheap. Especially in the spot that tends to rest upon surfaces most, as it has a curved backing. There is noticeable scuffing in the same area, chipping along the "TUDIA" impression and chipping along the bottom edge of the hard cover. I have not treated the case in a manner where I think it should naturally exhibit this type of wear so soon.

The case is actually pretty good. It doesn't add much bulk and I feel it adds a fair amount of protection to the phone. If you watch drop tests of the Oneplus One, the chrome around the screen is prone to dents and dings and a flat drop on the face, which is fairly rare, will pretty much destroy the phone. The case's rubberized materials goes a few millimeters past the screen, so you can lay it down or experience a drop on the screen with added protection. My only complaint is very subjective. The Oneplus One happens to be at the far end of what I can operate with one hand. I have large hands and I imagine most people have to use two for full use. The case doesn't add a lot of heft, but the little that it did bring put me over that threshold and made single hand operation more difficult and increased my chances of dropping it. Still, the design is very nice and I think it offers about the maximum protection you can expect without going crazy.

This case is a great light-duty option for the OnePlus one. It feels great in the hand and it looks very sleek as it has minimal branding printed or engraved on it. Pros: - Slim Fit - 2 layers of protection (silicon case and hard plastic shell) - Minimalistic logo on the case makes it look clean - Great fit on the phone Cons: - Case is a bit tough to remove if you plan on doing that often - Headphone port won't fit any 3.5mm Jack's that are over about 1/4" diameter. Overall great case. I would recommend and I'd buy again.

The shell fits perfectly around the Oneplus One, and my phone has never felt safer in my hands. The case aligns perfectly with a tempered glass screen protector, adding additional security in case of any drops. The case does not add much bulk to the phone and the sleek, matte finish is of amazing quality. I have only a single, tiny issue where the travel distance on the sleep button seems to have shrunk, due to a very snug fit. But this is not that big of an issue and does not detract from the quality of the case. All-in-all a fantastic buy! Great value and great design make this a must have for a Oneplus One.
