I've had Turkish Delight in the past, but I ordered this after reading The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe with my 6 year old daughter. It ignited a fascination in her about what Turkish Delight tased like. She was so excited when it arrived and really enjoyed it. It's very fresh and has great flavor. You just have to be careful because there is a lot of loose powdered sugar that falls out when you open it to take a piece out. It's become a very special treat in our house.

Pure, simple ingredients make this original style of Turkish Delight a great treat any time of the day.It says 12% pistachios but 20-30% would be better. The packaging is perfect.

The rose flavored is very different. Somehow it tastes exactly how you thought it would, even though you have never thought about it. I liked it.The other flavors? Not so much.Very sweet.The treats come in a nice box. They are loosely in parchment paper folded Not enclosed! I spilled 5 pulling it out of the inner box.

There is a pistachio flavor, but zero whole pistachios or even pieces as in the picture. Was happy with the overall level of sweet taste -- not too over the top like some candy, and the gel has a nice texture, but it's outdone by the other features. Messy like you'd expect with the powder on them, and after 3-4 pieces, the corn starch just overwhelms the flavor too much.

I have been eating Locum since I was a boy. My Grandfather was born in Istanbul Turkey. I was born in the Bronx New York. My Dad's Dad would always buy my two favorite Locum flavors; Rose and Pistachio. Hazer Baba's Locum hands down has the Two best Authentic Original Flavors exactly the same as my "Papu" used to get it. Hazer Baba's Locum has my two Favorite Flavors. Rose and Pistachio. The Texture and Softness including Freshness is all there, and the powdered Sugar is Perfect! Hazer Baba Turkish Delight Is Perfect. It's the Best in my opinion!

This stuff is definitely addictive and I had originally bought this brand when in a middle eastern food store. I had bought it on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard of Turkish delight but I didn't know what it was. Well, to my surprise it is a smooth and jelly-like candy, but even that description doesn't do it justice. There are nice flavors, of which some are quite unknown in the western palate -- i.e. the floral one's such as rose, but they very good if you are open to them. (Rose is a big flavor in the middle east and india.) Otherwise there are lemon and pistachio flavors and some of the pieces have actual pieces of pistachios or other nuts like almonds and these add a nice texture. Others are smooth without a tree nut. I think they often serve these with strong turkish coffee or afternoon tea.

I have tried a bunch of these and this brand is the best tasting. They are a bit cheap with the Pistachios but so were the others I tried. These are the ones I keep coming back to. They have the best flavor and they always arrive in good quality.
