I’ve made an amazing jumper with this wool

Initial thought - this is 2ply yarn not 4 ply. The web picture makes it look thicker than it is so along with that, the product details and reading the reviews I calculated that it was a fine 4 ply - turns out to be very fine! Still undecided if I can use it for the garment I have bought it for. The ordered 4 x 100g balls but they came in two different boxes - Box 1 had one ball in it and was sent by carrier and Box 2 had three balls and came by Royal Mail. To my relief they are of the same lot number. On the plus side - the wool is superb quality and wonderful colours.

The colours are quite different to the picture here, but in a good way - after ordering, I had second thoughts and planned on returning this wool. When it arrived, I fell back in love with the colours, which are much richer than in the photo. The wool is nice and soft and looks as if it will knit up into a sturdy pair of socks or handwarmers.My advice would be to check the photos of the wool and/or things made with it on ravelry.com as the colours are quite a bit darker, but this is by no means a criticism of the actual item!

I've loved Zauberball since I discovered it at the Knitting and Stitching show 3 years ago. Since then I have knitted several Zauberball socks and recently wanted a brown pair, and Autumn Wind seemed to fit the bill. It doesn't really. There are brownish areas appearing but the prominent colours are red and blue with some grey. These are nice socks, just not brown.

I used one ball to make a pair of adult sized socks. Lovely wool to knit with. I like the way the colors blend. However if you want a pair of matching socks this yarn is not for you. But my daughter likes her socks a little different so this yarn is perfect. The socks have been washed several times now in a normal 40 degree wash and tumble dried with no problems. No shrinkage or felting - just lovely soft socks.

This is an almost cult yarn for sock knitting and Amazon's price is the best around. It is a 4 ply sock yarn, that knits up wonderfully, be it for socks or shawls or anything else really. It is soft but durable. The self patterning construction of yarn makes even plain vanilla socks look beautiful but it also goes well with simple stitch patterns that make the variegation in yarn look even more interesting. I would definitely recommend it to any knitter.

I love this, but the colours I see on screen are quite different in that it is much more yellow than this is. I love it anyhow, but would like to be able to know that the colours I see here are what I will get.

Gorgeous to work with, gives a very hard wearing fabric that washes and dries better than Regia and other 4ply weight sock yarns with absolutely no shrinkage. The resulting fabric has more of a halo and the colours are exquisitely lovely, they're really beautiful. I love knitting socks if I'm using this yarn..otherwise not so much. It's the best sock yarn for long long lasting, very soft and cosy socks.
