Rolling in the Deep

First of all, this was clearly listed as a CD single.Import CD singles retail at roughly $13 each. That is normal. Unfortunately they are not making CD singles in the USA anymore. Those were cheaper. If you want to buy a single, expect to buy it from Europe or Australia, and expect to pay a premium for them. They are not for everybody, but for collectors or people who want the B-sides or remixes, they are well worth it.Case in point: this Adele CD single - it was such a big hit that demand exceeded supply, and the price went up. I saw people complaining about paying $8 for it. A lot sold in the $13.99 to $19.99 range.And guess what - the cheapest one on Amazon right now is $39 for a USED one. So that just proves the price was well worth it. You can't buy new ones anymore, they are out of print. Adele has staying power as an artist, and the value will likely stay high if not increase. CD singles are like baseball cards in that respect.So everybody complaining about paying $8 or $15 or $20 - you can now sell it back for double to quadruple what you paid for it!

Listen to Rolling in the Deep and you get a sense of Adele's increadible songwriting talent. She is a British citizen who visited the U.S. deep south and then wrote this song. Although there are other singers who now sing it, nobody can sing it like she does because of her range and the peronality and soul that she interjects into it. On the surface it comes across as a breakup song, but down deep, it is a song about empowerment bcause it says, I'm nobody to mess around with-you took me for granted, now you will pay the price. I like it because it begins with a attention-grabing haunting, thumping bass and the singing starts out hard: "there's a burning in my heart" rather than building up to a climax. It is in your face, as a song about anger should be. I think I will eventually buy the full album because I enjoy the way she vocalizes her emotions so very much.

Shame on Amazon to make the fact that this is a single so unclear when buying online. I didn't realize this had only 2 songs and the price was the same as a whole album. Plus, I ordered another of Adele's albums that had both songs on it.Don't get me wrong.....the song from Adele you are probably looking for is awesome. However for less money you can get the album "21" which has 11 tracks including "Rolling in the Deep"Yeah..Adele....boo, Amazon. I'd like my money back.

WARNING to all... MAKE SURE YOU READ THE CONTENTS OF THE CD...I did not read the contents of this CD... There are only TWO songs on it... NOT what I was expecting for $8.99... thought it was a full cd of Adele Songs... my bad for not reading before I buy... Lesson learned...

I have an idea- how about you READ ALL OF THE DETAILS of this product BEFORE you purchase it! It has a higher price point because it is clearly labeled as an IMPORT. Import singles are usually around this price- look around. The real reason to buy this CD? The second track "If it Hadn't Been For Love". This song is currently unavailable anywhere, and is NOT on her 21 album. Don't rate this album low just because you can't read.

Love the song Rolling in the Deep & Adele, but was so disappointed that the CD had only two songs on it. I would have kept looking if I had known that. Wish I could have seen a play list for the CD. I've noticed this for most of the music sold on AMAZON that there is no play list on CDs. Why? Sometimes I'm looking for a certain song & I'm never sure if the song is on the CD unless it's the CD name. Please fix this issue. Include a play list in the description, please.

Be careful what you order. There are only two songs on this CD, evidently, I ordered the wrong CD. "21" is the one I wanted.I returned it and only got a partial refund, even though I bought "21" and those songs were on it. I emailed Amazon and they gave me a full refund.Thanks for doing the right thing Amazon.Oh, I do love the songs and the Artist.

The cd came broken which I am disappointed about but the cd plays good. I gave it a three stars because I love these two songs by adele.

Buyer Beware. I should have read the fine print to see that this was not a full album. Cover looks similar to 21 that does contain the song Rolling in the Deep, but this one only two songs and not a very good recording at that. Lesson learned.
