After much online researching of product features and customer reviews on battery charages, I settled on this Schumacher FR01335 for my small farm. I love that it does it all... engine starter, booster, desulfator, and maintainer which auto detects 6v or 12v batteries. I love the heavy duty metal clamps which are much more rugged and reliable than the flimsy plastic clamps or miniature metal clamps on so many chargers. If I was to be picky, it could use a little longer power cord, a bracket on each side to wrap the power cord and cables for storage or transport, and larger lights and writing on the front panel. However, none of those conveniences affect the overall effectiveness of the charger. It works as advertised and I've used it in all modes on a variety of batteries with excellent results. I would buy again and recommend it.

I’ve been using this the charge truck batteries in vehicles. It will charge a bank of 4 batter from dead to running within 20 minutes. It’s simple and hard to not figure it out. The cables are solid. You can hear it running but it’s not loud. Overall it works well and is easily transported to service sites.

If you need one of these, buy this one! Works awesome, and very easy to use! I make sure all batteries are topped off before winter hits and charge if one goes bad, and this one is the one!

I ordered this "Schumacher Electric Farm and Ranch Battery Charger and Engine Starter, FR01336, 4-in-1, Fully Automatic, 200 Cranking Amps, 50 Amp Boost Mode, 6 Volt, 12 Volt, for Car, Truck, Marine, Farm Equipment" in 2024 for a special use with a battery that would sometime lose all of its charge.When I received the charger and took it out of the well packed & undamaged shipping box, I noticed that the manufacture's box was scuffed up, but regretfully I did not bother to check the charger. In 2025, when I got around to needing it, I took it out of the box for the first time & it would not turn on. I then took off the cover only to find that it was busted up inside like it had been dropped hard. It was too late to return it and I doubt the supplier would take my word that it was busted out of the box.I am going to buy another one, this time directly from the manufacturer.

Simple to use. Powerful automatic charge. Rugged build quality except I’d prefer a metal handle with cable wind brackets.

Great charger, will hold charge up to 40 amps, and is often in the mid 20a range, so batteries charge quickly. It can maintain 13.2-13.5 with key on engine off, which is good for a power supply during programming on most cars, although BMW, Audi/Vw has kicked me out during certain basic settings due to under voltage. It does a little analysis first before charging, however I have had a few times its told me bad battery, but after disconnecting and trying again, it charged no problem. Overall, Id recommend this charger, and will report back over time about its performance.Update: Lasted 9 months and will now not charge at anything over 5 amps. Runs up to 15 and slowly drops down to .6 amps, but will go to 6 aps on the 2/6 amp mode. NOT WELL MADE, NOT THE QUALITY SCHUMACHER USED TO MAKE!!!Update: Schumacher took care of it and sent a replacement unit, which has been working finefor about 8 months now. Hoping the build quality is better than the last one.

I have never been a fan on all the digital stuff on newer chargers, but that being said, it works great. I wanted a powerful charger that was easy to haul around.

Works great
