Cleaner Suede Nubuck Leather Omnidaim

UPDATE: This is THE ONLY decent product for cleaning suede and nubuck, particularly suede. I used others after my first try (review below) and they left a dirt ring around the treated area and did not clean the dirt! Even if they say for suede and nubuck they can't be trusted. HINTS: A gum eraser (not a pencil eraser) will remove slight everyday scuff marks from nubuck very easily without having to use a cleaner. Suede may be a little harder to clean with gum eraser but try. Also use a stiff brush from time to time on both suede and nubuck to keep them from building up dust. Dusty suede or nubuck is harder to clean well. Be sure to clean a spot ASAP - this stuff is like magic if used correctly. Let water help you clean and conserve product according to the enclosed instructions, which are pictures that show this: 1. Be certain to use a small stiff shoe brush (not provided) to raise the nap on area you want to treat. 2. Using the soft brush provided, apply a small amount of Omnidaim well over the area but don't over-soak it- see next step 3. Right away, rinse the soft brush in clean tap water and go over the treated area with the watery brush in a tight circular motion to raise a suds. You don't have to drench it but do not be afraid to get it wet - just not dripping wet. You don't need a full on lather, a little suds is all. 4. Rinse the brush clean and go again if you are not satisfied with suds. You might need a touch more product if no suds come up 5. Do not worry if the item looks dark or still dirty. Put the clean brush and product away and let your item completely dry, perhaps 24 hours. 6. Use the stiff brush on completely dry item to raise the nap again. ORIGINAL: It cleaned black marks off my blue suede jacket. Scary to see leather all damp/wet and foaming but use of a stiff brush before and after makes it looks great. The only drawback is the packaging. It is a French product and has several languages all over the box, hard to spot the English. The text is also very brief, and in fact only a few little pictures for How To Use. I got by OK though, just saying it is unexpected.

It is a good cleaner for dirty Nubuck Timberlands. Unfortunately a friend of mine spilled 30W motor oil on this pair of Alife Timberlands and ruined them. I will have to have these redyed. I have used the cleaner on another pair of Timberlands and it worked well after using the eraser including with the Tinberland cleaning kit. I should have taken pics. I highly recommend. You could do two pair of Tinberlands easy if you mix the solution properly.

I wish I had taken before and after pictures of my women's boots before I cleaned them with this cleanser. The difference is truly stunning. I had contemplated throwing my boots away, because they were so stained and dingy looking after two full winters of use. But I decided to try cleaning them well instead. I am exceedingly pleased. They look almost brand new now! I cleaned them very quickly, dunking the brush in a tiny bit of the cleaner and using a gentle, but fast swirling motion, giving extra attention to the particularly dirty spots, but cleaning ALL of the suede. I then gently rinsed the boots with a wet, cold water cloth, and dabbed them dry with a towel. I decided to stuff some socks down in the toe area while they dried, hoping to eliminate some of the creases that had permanently settled into the ridge of the boots near the toe area from years of use. This helped tremendously, as the creases almost disappeared completely. The color was also rejuvenated with the cleaning. Super product. Thank you!

It couldn’t clean properly my niece’s Uggs but felt like it did enough cleaning where they could be used for another 6mo instead of trashing them. The Uggs had mostly water and dirt damage as they were used in snow. More of 3.5 star. Note for those who care: the cleaning brush included is a boar hair brush. So if you don’t use pig/pork products, order a separate brush for cleaning.

I first came across this product when I asked the YouTube how to clean a spot off my suede Adidas kicks. It even comes with the little brush to use the cleaner! It not only removed the spot, but it also cleaned the areas that just had smudges. I was able to remove waterproof eyeliner that I had accidentally got on my rose colored suede purse! I was also able to remove the dark stains from my suede snow boots!!! Yay! Total win! I feel good about my suede stuff again!

It worked perfectly. Since the instructions were in French I went onto the company's website and the website is in English, Very easy instructions. I think that I was supposed to receive a brush also. It was not sent. However I had ordered at the same time, an easer and brush combo. I read a few reviews that blamed the product on ruining their shoes. Seriously? The complainers ruined their shoes. And they don't understand the nature of suede. It's beauty is in it's imperfections. They should learn a lesson from their own skin which has imperfections. If they want perfection then by plastic. Icky! Or they can get leather that has been "painted," for consistency of look.
