Steptoe & Son - Series Eight [1974] [DVD]

Steptoe and Son came to an end with the 8th series, and while it many not be the best of the series, it still features a few good episodes.Standouts includes 'Porn Yesterday' where Harold discovers an old What the Butler Saw machine and is horrified to see who is the star of the movie, and 'Upstairs Downstairs, Upstairs Downstairs' where Harold is forced to look after his father who is supposedly suffering from a bad back.

Comedy was never the same again when they died

I am British although have lived overseas for the past 25 years and now live in Indonesia so I missed to watch many of the Steptoe and Son series.I also now suffer from Alzheimer’s and watching theses DVDs has bought back many happy memories which I would recommend to any other British person who has any type of dementia as a good laugh everyday is very much recommended and you certainly get that

Gift for my brother

The final series, some episodes are very memorable (Upstairs, Downstairs), others less so ('The Seven Steptoerai), but still a wonderful end to a great show.

great comedy from yesteryear, not as good as series 7 which to me was the best of the lot; but 6 still has some good episodes and classic scenes. well written and well acted by two great comedy actors.
