What I needed for my Carolina Skiff Captain's Chair.
I really love my Carolina Skiff JVX20'. However, I intensely hate the Captain's Chair. It is an ice chest seat that has a seat over the ice chest, and if you catch a lot of fish, which I do, you are constantly having to open that dad gum seat and get into that crummy ice chest. Plus that seat takes up too much room in the back of the boat. So, I bought this. I made a pedestal for it, 6" high, and I used stainless steel 1/4" T nuts on the top of the pedestal to which I screw in 1/4" thumb screws (don't buy them here, they are not stainless), to attach this seat to the pedestal. The only problem with this ice chest seat is it will open under high speed conditions, like interstate trailoring. That is easily fixed with a long bungee.

Unfortunately the measurements were wrong on the site, its 33” wide overall and not 29” so it wouldn’t fit in the space I had, nice looking well built product though

Decent quality, exactly as advertised
Needed something relatively inexpensive to replace a pedestal seat on my boat, this fit the bill very well.

I usually don't write reviews, but I am very happy with my purchase. Not sure why the 50 quart is more expensive than the 70 but it is what it is. This 50-quart fit perfectly replacing the old helm seat. People complain that it doesn't include mounting hardware, but it doesn't say it does. Every install is going to be different. Some may be able to through bolt it, some may not. Read the ad and you will be more than happy if it works for your application.

Very happy with product would be 5 stars but missing bottom screw and washer
Product exactly as described however disappointed I'm missing screw and washer on the bottom on one side
