The comfort and fit are amazing. Great value too. I initially purchased size 11-1/2 M (my usual size), however returned them for size 12 M. From experience on the Appalachian Trail, I could predict the size 11-1/2 would result in toe jam... on that AT trip, one toe turned black from jamming, so those boots went in the trash. For anyone carrying a heavy load on a long haul, up and down, I suggest one-half size larger. For those doing day hikes, your normal size will suffice.
