I bought two if these glass counter savers because we just repainted the kitchen counters with the Giani Countertop Kit. It is our second time to paint them. The first lasted six years with lots of touch ups. So I wanted to avoid the beating to the counter. These glass cutting boards are gorgeous. No complaints. I read about “not clear” and “noisy” but I could care less. They are beautiful, functional, do not shift around , are large enough to make a difference. I leave them on the counter all the time. Perfect solution.

I used these for years to protect the sealer in the high traffic areas on my polished concrete countertops from the wear of pots and pans and everyday use. Resealing granite every year was a chore I hated. I used these on my former granite and now concrete countertops and dont have to reseal counters anymore. Let's the beauty of the surface show thru and washing is quick and easy. Not recommended to be used for a cutting board by knife manufacturers because any hard surface like glass dull the sharpened edge. Especially a textured surface like these boards. But they have a better use.Update: 2019 ENTIRELY MY FAULT I might add! keep away from cooktop flame/ heat. Hadn't noticed the glass edge was over the chrome trim on the edge of our gas range, too close to the heat. I was busy water bath canning pickles on that large burner. The wide bottom canner pot spread the flame low and wide combined with the glass being over the trim ( which it normally is not) the tempered glass shattered with a loud POP! and scattered a thousand little pebble size pieces across the counter and onto the tile floor. It performed beautifully as tempered glass should by cracking into uniform little pieces like auto glass rather than razor sharp shards like jars and window glass. It swept up and vacuumed easily and safely with very little glass dust to wipe up with wet paper towel along the countertop closest to the heat. Oddly, From a safety point of view in the kitchen, how a product "fails" is as important as how it performs. On this product it was my fault entirely, these are tempered glass, not oven proof ( isnt supposed to be) just wanted to spread the safety reminder and rate what happened when I messed up. Im buying a replacement right now.

Very durable love thee way it looks

I love this cutting board!I have very long countertops and needed a large cutting board to take up some space and be able to hold large amounts of food I'm cutting. This one definitely does the trick! It doesn't slide at all and it's very easy for me to clean. I've been using this for a few months now and it's been great.I loved it so much that I even bought my mom one for Christmas because she mentioned needing one for her kitchen. She was so excited when she opened her package.

We just had our kitchen renovated with new Granite counter tops. Wanting to protect the granite, I purchased 2 of these, one by the sink, one by the stove. I agree with others, they have an aqua tint to them and was hoping for “clear”. They are a nice size and I’ve had older ones left by a previous owner that were white. I don’t use them as a cutting board, but counter protection. Rather then return them, I’ll live with the color.

This is best 20 x 16 glass cutting board that I could find. I was replacing one in this size that had no aqua tint, which was purchased over a decade ago. I really wanted one with no aqua tint. From what I have read about that aqua tint in glass, I understand that it is due to iron in the glass. This is a new and common issue in our marketplace. I have a set of five Pyrex glass measuring cups in different sizes, ranging from 1-cup to 8-cups, all of which are over 15 years old, except the 2-cup size, which was replaced about three years ago. All of the measuring cups have no aqua tint, except the newer 2-cup size, which has an aqua tint.I tried hard to get a new colorless 20 x 16 glass cutting board, and I was unsuccessful. This one came in with a slight aqua hue (see photo). So I ordered a competitor's version, the McGowan Tuftop 16 x 20 Glass Cutting Board, from a different online company. That one also had an aqua hue, and the McGowan product provides slightly less surface, due to having more rounded corners. I would have been willing to tolerate the more rounded corners in order to get one that had no aqua tint. With the aqua tint as a given, this one by Surface Saver is the best available, because it provides more surface area.

This counter saver is just that. I bought this as a gift. I already have one and love it. Looks great on the counter, can use for cutting or as a hot plate. I keep it next to the stove for easy access. Easy to clean.
