A/C Pro Certified Auto Car Air Conditioner Test Thermometer, Diagnose A/C

I'm really pleased with this automotive thermometer that I use for checking my work when I repair automotive AC systems. It's pretty self-explanatory with how it works but you just stick it in whichever vent is blowing air to see the temperature of the air. I just reference google to see what the AC temp should be when I start refilling the system with refrigerant. This could also be used in residential HVAC systems. I prefer this style thermometer over a laser thermometer because these are more accurate and it's easy to get an incorrect reading with a laser thermometer. This thermometer was a great value and is a must for any mechanic.

It's good quality, and I understand why people use this for tech work, because it is sturdy and doesn't require batteries. My big issue with this is the extremely small dial. I know I'm older, but I do have better than 20/20 corrected vision and can't understand why it is so doggone hard to read from the vent area where it is placed. It's because it's a very small dial. The green helps to point you in the right direction if the system is cooling adequately, but would be nice in a larger dial, which If available I would have bought. Turns out my meat thermometer with a larger digital display works better for me. Yes, I do wash it well after using it to check the A/C temp!

This is helpful for diagnosing AC problems. It reads accurate. I like the analog style because it doesn’t need batteries. It fits nicely in my pocket protector too.

Used for checking a/c temperature when charging the system. Easy to use and the temperature is pretty accurate. It’s just the right size and seems pretty durable.

Just topped up my Nissan Note E11 diesel AC with this in the vent. AC R134A pressure topped up to 40psi. Vent thermometer went from 46-48F to 40F right in the middle of the green zone
