I liked this movie
This movie is a slasher movie that is a throw back to 80's and 90's horror. A group of friends stops by an abandoned barn on their way to a concert where awaken evil monsters that come out every Halloween to kill everything and everyone in their path. Pretty gory and it features Linnea Quigley completely clothed which is a rarity in her films. Some commented on the crappy picture quality and that is intentional, it's to set the tone of an older slasher film. Worth checking out!

A for effort
everything about this movie is low budget indie. but i think alot of effort was put into it. low budget effects, but alot of them. like almost endless fake blood. low budget story, acting, light, sound (parties/crowd scenes always have sucky sound), but a couple of twists. i judged it as an indie horror film. and in that regard, it might be 4.5 stars.i am giving it 5 to maybe balance out an undeserving low score.amazon stream

Fun Old School Horror
I actually saw the sequel first, then bought the original. They are both very fun old school horror movies!

Mixed Feelings
I don't regret having taken the time to watch this. Fall is finally here. The days and nights are cooling. The leaves are changing color. So watching a movie centered on Halloween fits the mood.Yet while this film had some rather good imagery at times, overall it lacked quality quite noticeably. The acting was generally mediocre to very poor. The directing was amateurish. The story was forced. And the demons simply looked like ordinary people wearing masks from Halloween USA. The poorest one was The Boogyman, who looked like a woman wearing a rubber mask and a miner's helmet. And at times, the music was a direct ripoff of "Halloween".I did like the look of the pumpkin-headed demon with the flames for eyes.Another aspect helping this movie to not hit the mark was the inexplicable ability of two teen boys being able to successfully take on the three featured and highly dreaded demons, using only hand tools and their fists. If they were that easy to kill, then why were they some feared horror legends? As said, I'm not sorry I watched it but this is definitively a one-and-done kind of movie.2.5 STARS

Don't get your skull carved out.
This was a pretty fun watch and is a throw back to the 80's horror movies. The cheesy special effects was probably the biggest draw back for most people, but for many of us who grew up in the 80's, it ain't so bad. There are some scenes that don't play well, but this was still a good film to watch for Halloween. There is some gore and the three killers are pretty cool. A very watchable film if you give it a chance.

So terrible is great!!
You really gotta appreciate this for what it is. It's a take on cheesy 80s grindhouse flicks. The music is great the lame background actors.... there are so many garbage movies on prime.. this IS AN UNDISCOVERED GEM!!!! I was shocked how much I loved this movie. Wish he would make a sequel!

John Micheal Simmons needs a lead role.
John Micheal Simmons Jr. should’ve had a lead role, he made the movie worth watching. I strongly advise to put him in more movies with a important part. He’s an amazing actor even with his perfect look of the eye to the camera. No one does it better than him. [email protected] <<<<- Logan Zusack

Is it a comedy or a horror movie?
I really think this is supposed to be one of those tongue and cheek type comedy horror movies, if not it failed at being a horror movie,. With not going full in one way or another its hard to like the movie. The monsters were nice but very Scooby Doo knock offs. Would I watch it again? No, it was hard enough the first time. Would I watch the sequel? It depends on if they take the same approach. You need to commit to what you want them film to be and go all in. This same concept told by a different director might actually be really good. Get dark and serious with this and it might be enjoyable. Or just go 'scary movie' with it since its close to that already.

Don't Go Into The Barn
The Barn is an all round throw back to the 80's fun fun Slasher. What makes it a real good film is great kills (practical effects). Yes it's cheesy, silly, predictable but hey isn't that what 90% of slasher movies from the Golden earra were like. You need to watch it, I'm sure you'll like it

Fine film, poor delivery by amazon
The film turned up in less than 24 hours which is great, but for £30 I expect the dvd case to NOT be sliced open.

Poor
Just like an early 80’s Betamax video rental gone wrong. Miss those days, but not movies like this.
