This is my first "real" watch. I haven't worn a watch since I was a teenager but I've been wanting one to use instead of my smart phone. Unfortunately I have tiny wrists --- truly tiny (~6" even) unlike the people complaining about their 7.5" wrist. I looked around a lot and every time I'd found something I liked, I'd realize it was too large. This was especially difficult because I really wanted a chronograph. With all the people complaining how small this one is, I decided to try it out.Keep in mind that I'm new to watches....First, the size. As some other small-wristed people have suggested, this watch is doable. I have it on the smallest band setting at it fits nicely. The dimensions given in the description seem accurate so the dial looks large, but not cartoonish in my opinion. The band is very nice, but as some other reviewers have stated, is quite tough. I'm sure it will soften out with time. The date and time are easy to set, and I've been able to sync the running seconds very easily. One thing I've noticed is that the minute hand seems not to point to some of the later minutes (55+) with as much accuracy, displaying a time slightly earlier than it is in reality. However this issue does not compound and the minute hand is perfectly aligned come the early minutes. The luminescence is excellent, with 4 dots on the dial and the 3 main hands easily visible in the dark.I was very impressed by the chronograph, though I suppose I have nothing with which to compare it. As was to be expected, the large second hand is used for the chronograph, with a 1s step. Notably, the 1/20s dial continuously sweeps during timing, unlike many other chronographs. There are two hands on the accumulator for a total of 12 hours of timing divided into minutes, hours, seconds, and 20ths of seconds. Upon resetting, the minute/hour accumulator rotates all the way through its run which looks pretty cool. I thought I was having an issue with the chronograph randomly stopping but upon closer inspection of the manual it turns out that the 1/20s dial only continuously sweeps for 10 minutes; at which point it behaves like a traditional fractional chronograph dial, jumping to the time upon stopping.

Great looking watch. Amazed by the quality and look for the price!
I was really surprised how nice the fit, finish, and appearance of this watch was for the price. The high contrast dial and hand looked amazing. It actually looked too nice! I was looking for a sporty looking but not too flashy watch to wear with jeans but the all of the shiny polished parts and the sparkling dials and bevels inside actually made it look kind of dressy. I actually didn't like how much it sparkled. Although it is only a 39mm watch, the typical blocky chronograph case, dished dial, and large dial/crystal made it look bigger and taller on my wrist than the Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 40mm. Even though I didn't end up keeping it, it brought to my attention how Seiko is known for watches of higher quality than expected for the price. After several watches and not finding the right fit with even Swiss made Hamilton watches, I did a lot of research from what started with this purchase and ended up with a pair of very well respected Seiko watches (SARB033 and SKX013). I couldn't be more pleased with them

my first-ever watch that I purchased for me
My first ever Chronograph...in fact, my first-ever watch that I purchased for me. The watch fits well for my bony wrist diameter of 6.25", and a case diameter of 40mm seems to be just the right size (not too big, not too small). Personally, the amazon images provided here and by fellow verified purchasers made this thing look so gorgeous..and I was just a tad bit disappointed when I finally got it. I think it's due to the thickness of the watch--it's about 13/32" so it does stick out a bit. The first Amazon image gave me the impression that it is thinner. This is something I'll definitely keep in mind for future purchases. Regardless, it definitely is a good-looking watch for a starter. I can imagine wearing this through many different events--semi-casual, professional, etc. I intend to change it up between the stock leather and a black/sand-colored NATO strap.I'm just beginning to learn how to use the stop-watch functions...very nifty though. I supposed it's time I start learning to time things with this rather than my phone app. The thing I do admire about this the most is that I haven't lost a step on time so far...and I'll be watching this closely. I never paid attention to this detail with any watches I had in the past (all gifted to me...in total, 4 in my life). I always thought that watches are useless if I have to keep resetting it to match the time, often falling behind by minutes within a week. This thing looks like it will stay on point for a long time. Hopefully it does!If I had to mention any flaws, it would be this: there is a really long, thin hand which works as part of the stop-watch function (noticeable on the first Amazon image as pointing to the 5). When set to 0, this thin hand is off-set to the right just a smidge. As I invest in higher quality watches, I expect these things to be on point rather than sitting off-set. However, as a starter watch for me, it's a non-issue. A personal gripe is that, every time I look at the watch, I (out of habit I guess) keep expecting the thin hand to move as an indicator for seconds. On the left side of the watch is a small clock that's actually counting the seconds. This is something I'll have to get used to.All in all, great watch. Looking forward to how it lasts.

Excelente reloj, calidad-precio.
El reloj llegó antes del tiempo estimado, reloj sencillo y elegante a la vez. Viene en su caja y con los manuales de uso. El único detalle es que no tenía protección adicional al sobre, lo demás todo bien.Compra recomendada

Good Watch, Very Comfortable
I bought the white one 5 years ago and loved the 12-hour chronograph function. I use it all the time. But it will drain the battery quickly so you need to be careful how often you use it. After several battery changes, the chronograph no longer works. I figured it was good for lasting 5 years and I loved the design and functions so much that I bought the black one to replace it. Overall, the watches (black or white ones) are very comfortable on the wrist with smooth edges machined so that it doesn't scratch you. I prefer the black one now because it's easier to read the time due to the colour contrast.

Seiko Men's Chronograph Quartz Watch with Leather Strap – SNDC33P1
Purchased this watch here, for £49 in January 2020, during a sale. It is extremely easy to read the dial in all lighting conditions, due to it having white hands and numbers on a black dial and looks better in the flesh than in the pictures. The watch itself is on the smallish side in terms of its case. I have small wrists and is a perfect fit. Medium wrist may be able to wear this too but would not recommend it if any larger. This is also backed up by the leather strap, which is not the longest and a little stiff at first but softens over time. All in all, i give it top marks at £49. Perfect fit for my small wrist but would not have purchased it at its current price of £100. A budget Seiko that does the job and, so far, has proved to be reliable.
