I had the Samsung EarBuds2Pro for a little over a year and had them sent in for service 2 times and after the warranty ran out by 2 months they totally died. So I bought these Technics because I used to sell electronics for a living and Technics/Panasonic/Matsushita Electronics the parent company was the best to work with and the product was very good. So anyway I then studied electronics and became a electronic technician and repaired gear for 15 years and worked with Technics/Panasonic/Matsushita Electronics again and I must say that the company is a very very solid fair and good company that cares about it's product and it's customers both at retail and when repairs where required. I have a lot of respect for Technics/Panasonic/Matsushita Electronics. So I have had these Technics earbuds now for about 6 weeks and they 100% absolutely kill the Samsung earbuds I had and obliterate them for sound quality and stability of operation without cutting in and out and are free of any unwanted staticky hash etc. I have no hesitation to recommend the Technics earbuds and thus far I have no question in my mind that I would buy them again. I bought a new big screen TV a few days ago and the Technics earbuds can be use with 3 sources and so when I start the TV sound the earbuds auto sense the TV and play sound and then when I use my digital audio/video player the earbuds auto sense that and switchover to play that. It is very convenient and they can do 3 sources that way. I am liking these new Technics earbuds very very much.

Despues de 2 años con ellos puedo decir que son increibles. Incluso despues de tener los AZ100 sigo regresando a los AZ80. Tuve por mucho tiempo un problema con el case que quedaba parpadeando la luz roja y no funcionaba, lo que hice fue arreglarlo con "contact cleaner" bastante y secar bien con los earbuds afuera y el case apagado y se arreglo totalmente. Esta era mi unica queja e iba a poner un rating de 3 estrellas, pero, al ser un problema de suciedad y mantenimiento creo que no tengo mucho de que quejarme. El sonido es increible, son comodos, y la cancelacion de ruido funciona bastante bien, con AAC la bateria facilmente dura 6 horas de constante uso, lo cual es menos de la mitad de los AZ100, pero sigue siendo un muy buen número. En general estoy contento con mi compra Sobre el sonido, no esperes un bajo aplastante, o algo muy "audiofilo" lleno de detalles, soundstage y claridad. Son buenos, decentes, balanceados y tiene sus deficiencias en los agudos. Es un sonido refinado, que aprendes a apreciar. si quieres un sonido mas comercial, saturado y sobre todo mas enfocado a los bajos, los Oneplus buds 3, Nothing Ear 2 o Sony xm5/xm6 son una opcion que te sorprendera más.

Excellent acoustics, sound quality and noise cancelling vs the other same category brands i’ve tried. Long battery life. Can talk to alexa change songs while running. Though too much shaking or sweat in the ear in rare cases it falls of which may damage the unit. Overall, highly recommended

I'll start by saying that I tested both the AZ80 and AZ100 equally before landing on the AZ80 as the clear winner for me personally on a few fronts. First and foremost, the detail in sound. I haven't tested ANC much. I tested ambient mode a little and it's OK - I may have to revise my review later once I get more time with it. This review is mainly regarding the sound quality which was my main factor in the next earbuds I purchased. The level of detail you get from these is incredible. The separation of sounds and instruments, you can close your ears and visually see the instrument and hear where exactly it's coming from. As if the band is right in front of you. At least for me, this was my experience. The flat eq sounds good, but I use the Wavelet app on my Android phone to set the default EQ to the EZ80 and to me, it sounds perfect this way. Note that the quality you hear is completely dependent on your sound source. These aren't bass heavy in the sense that Technics didn't tune these that way out of the box. You can bump up the bass or eq it to get more, yes. But that's what's so great about these. Listening to high quality files (I use AIFF) or streaming using FLAC, everything sounds great. Some tracks are mastered at higher volume than others, so reviews you see where people are complaining about it not getting loud may be true, but it's dependent on the source. I played a few tracks on Tidal where I had to bump the volume to 80%, while a totally different album sounded just as loud at 40% volume. YMMV. The one thing to note is that the EQ changes when you go from Mode = Off to Mode = ANC or Transparency. It seems to reduce the bass a bit, 10-15% or so. You can adjust the EQ if that bothers you. It did bother me at first, but after testing the AZ100 and realizing it hurt my ears and wasn't the set of buds for me, I went back to the AZ80. I'm glad I did - those are minor issues I can live with given the quality of sound I'm getting from these. Listening to music feels like a joy now. I can't wait to re-listen to all of my favorite music through these. At the current price of me writing this review, these are an incredible value and I highly recommend them, especially if you plan to use these for critical listening.
