Works just as it's advertised!
I like MOOER cause they're an user friendly clean sounding option and you don't break the bank, they're a good way to get the job done, this headphone amp works just as it's advertised thanks 🙏🤘

This thing is vitamins.
First impression: very cool, subtly. I had been looking for a new headphone amp, because the one I've had makes gobs of crud hiss. So, looking at dozens of options, I kept coming back to this, which seemed like a step or two beyond the others. It can work as a headphone amp on its own, and it sounds absolutely decent, with amazingly low hiss and true to the sound of the instrument. True enough that it doesn't need EQ, or 143 weird, flimsy modelling choices. The cab-sim switch I would have named "smooth warmth" (it’s probably the first cab-sim I might ever use). As a lone headphone amp, it's excellent for bare bone technique analysis, or song writing. I have an awesome tube pre-amp pedal (I won't name it, it's just the one for me). With the Mooer Audiophile, now my adored pre-amp pedal is a real tube overdrive headphone amp. A headphone amp that sounds like my favorite pre-amp, because now it is. With a long effects chain, if the production is off, you can patch the Mooer Audiophile behind each and any of the effects to locate and adjust the EQ's or special effects in question. If the production problem is simply because another pedal, say a wah pedal, seems to weaken the signal, this can act as a buffer to cleanly nudge it back up. You can put it at the end of your signal chain with your amp off, and wail happily and safely through the midnight hours, inspired by a dream, without alerting FEMA. It’s a clean, clever little unit, and works well.

Deserves a great review
Wasn't totally sure how the Audiofile pedal would work out but it's actually great. The primary function I was looking for is the headphone line out, just for silent guitar practice. And yes, some other pedals, have headphone outs, but having it in a separate pedal which can always live at the very end of the signal chain is huge. For example, if you have a looper, you would want it after any drive or effects, so a headphone jack on the drive would be too early and wouldn't capture anything from the looper. Furthermore, the cab sim toggle works really well. It's actually crazy how much better of a sound you get when you hit the cab sim. Without it, the signal is sort of tinny and abrasive but cleans up really well with the cab sim on. Finally, just having the master volume control helps a ton. A lot of times you don't want to fiddle with all the effects, you just want to turn the volume up or down. One final thing I didn't see in the documentation but is really helpful is, you can have the headphones connected at the same time as an amp connected. Not that you would use both at the same time, but you can leave the cables in place and then just turn the amp on or off when you want. Great product.

Underwhelmed
The first unit I was sent died immediately after I powered it on, so I exchanged it for a 2nd pedal and have to say it's really underwhelming. First off it's pretty dark and boomy. You can improve it with an eq pedal, but not enough to clear it up. It's also really noisy with a drive pedal and fizzy with really any gain. Fuzz pedals sound just awful. It does serve it's purpose to allow you to play silently with your pedal board, but for the price I expected better sound and build quality.

Complete junk, unless you want only left chennel instead of stereo
Bought this for an easy application: headphone amp for my guitar stereo pedal rig. Hooked it up as in the second illustration under "How To Use" in the manual. Only the left channel can be heard. Mono works and mixes the channels correctly, but I don't want mono, I want stereo. Not recommended. Awful product. Stay away from Moorer, it's cheap for a reason.

Good things come in small packages
The photos do not do justice to how small this pedal is. It's teeny tiny, yet still feels solid. This pedal does exactly what it's supposed to, but make sure you understand its purpose before you buy. Unlike the popular headphone amps that are meant to plug directly into your guitar (and usually don't have the headroom to accommodate other pedals well), this pedal is meant to sit at the end of your chain and amplify the signal to headphone levels. Also unlike those pedals, it's not meant to simulate a guitar amp - it just cleanly boosts the signal. Now, legendary guitar amps didn't earn their fame by amplifying the sound of the guitar as cleanly as possible. They heavily color the sound. This means that if you run through this instead of an amp, it's going to sound quite sterile. That's not something the cab sim fixes. That's a problem, right? Not really. First, if you just need to silently practice with some effects, you may not be too worried about the tonal qualities, it's probably fine. If you play with a lot of distortion from pedals, it may not be a big deal either. However, if you use an overdrive pedal to push your amp into distortion, that won't really work with this headphone amp. You can still get great tone. All you need is a preamp, ampsim, amp in a box, etc pedal before it to add that color or gain to your tone. Think of this pedal like a cab (where your headphones are the speakers) and the preamp pedal is the head. I use a pretty cheap joyo amp emulation pedal, and it works great!

Cab emulation fine to me
Not sure why all the complaints about darkness. It would be nice to have a tone trim pot but small tweak on trebble (no eq needed) and it was fine for me. I don't have a noise issue here but I still like to practice mundane and repetitive things with the headphones just to spare others. Works great.

Exactly what I was looking for~!
This little mini pedal was exactly what I was looking for in other "headphone" pedals, except none of the others did what this does... and this does it in a mini pedal size! Note that this is a Mono (TS) or Stereo (TRS) Input with a 1/8" (Mixed Mono so you don't just hear your signal in one ear if your input is Mono) and 1/4" Stereo Output. I already use Cab Sim before this pedal in my chain, so I don't use the on board Cab Sim, but it would be helpful for people practicing with just their pedal board effects, and it's a nice bonus feature. When this is off, it is in true bypass, so you're pedals just go through like nothing is there... or it can be used as a Clean Boost to raise the signal to the front of your amp. For the price and the size of this pedal, it should be on every board. I know I'll be putting it on the end of all of my current and future boards for sure. I'm not associated with anything... just a fan of this little pedal.

Works perfectly at end of my small pedalboard
I have this mini-pedal after the Sansamp (Tech 21 NYC) at the end of a small pedalboard (bass-tuner-chorus-fuzz-sansamp-Audiofile), and it works perfectly with no noise. It simplified my setup for both practice (with or without amp) and performance. It would be great to have an aux in as well, and those are available in higher price ranges, but otherwise it works perfectly for me so far. I am not a fan of all Mooer pedals (the Thunderball fuzz/distortion mini-pedal also on this pedalboard is so-so) but this one I like.

Works great! Fast shipping!
Works Great! Fast shipping! Edit: after only maybe a couple months of use, there is suddenly a high pitch buzz when the cab sim switch is on. Also: the sticker on the back of the pedal states that if removed warranty is void, but the adhesive on the sticker does not stick well to the rubber on the back of the pedal. So my sticker was easily removed when removing a strip of velcro off the back of the pedal. This happened because the adhesive on the velcro wasn’t sticking to the rubber back either, so I ended up peeling off the rubber back and stuck the velcro directly to the back of the pedal, and now it sticks to my pedal board no problem, but apparently my warranty is now void.
