A Really Great Small Knife
Like many people I like to keep a small knife on my key ring, in addition to my EDC knife. A year or so ago that key ring knife, my beloved Spyderco Ladybug, came up missing. In the mood to try something different, I replaced it with a Gerber Ultralight LST. I’ve never been more disappointed with a knife. It came barely sharp, and will not hold an edge.So I set out to buy another Ladybug when I started taking a hard look at the dog tag folder. I’m glad that I did. This is a great small knife.I hesitated at first because it was kind of expensive for a knife that I was going to carry on my key ring, but you get what you pay for. After using it for awhile I realize it’s probably all the EDC knife that most people (including myself) really need.I thought that it might be awkward or difficult to open with one hand due to the small size, but it’s easy once you get the hang of it.As others have pointed out, it does not have a lock. But it does snap into a ball detent when fully open. This hasn’t been an issue for me. It might be depending on how you intend to use it.This is a real knife. The blade is thick! And this thing came out of the box razor sharp. It’s still sharp as a razor and I haven’t touched the edge.Carried on a key ring, tucked into the little pocket of your jeans, or worn around your neck like a dog tag, this is an exceptional small knife.

Emergency Blade
This is my second Spyderco Dog Tag folding knife, as my first one was lost in the ocean after the ball chain snapped, and I liked it enough to order a replacement.PROs:- Lightweight; I don't even notice it hanging around my neck after a few days of wear or even running for several miles.- Small: It has the same dimensions as a standard dog tag in length/width (hence the name), albeit thicker to accommodate the blade and the folding mechanism- Sharp: As a blade should be. It's too small to be an everyday knife, so with occasional use, the edge should keep for a long time.CONs:- Lanyard Hole: It's on the small side since there isn't much material for a large hole. If you're going to wear it as a dog tag, I recommend a good quality ball chain and a quick release mechanism like this one: Nite Ize LSBM-11-2R3 S-Biner Micro Lock, Stainless Steel, 2-Pack- Security: Once you get used to it hanging around your neck, you might forget to remove it prior to going through a security screening (TSA, courthouse, etc.).

Most used of all
Nice and small. But very useful. I hang it on my key lanyard and use it everyday. Easy to sharpen and edge lasts a while.

Perfect keychain knife
I love it! It's compact, lightweight, the blade is very sharp, the build quality and materials feel premium. The best part is that you can open and close this knife with one hand, which is very uncommon for a knife this size. Got one for my dad as a gift and he loves it too! Overall, I think this is a perfect knife to carry everyday on a keychain for opening packages, boxes etc.

Lightweight and solid
Great little backup knife. Light weight, yet solid. Looks nice, quality made. Easy to wear and very functional/well made blade that deploys well. Nice to have when you can't carry your EDC.

Absolutely lovely.
Gosh.-Such a happiness-maker to have Spyderco's tiniest knife as my new fave.-Used to have an older fave from another Company that was my fave pocket knife, but that's over.-I'm ambidextrous. The left-hand one-hand open is easier than expected, I can get it open as quickly on the left as I can on the right. HEADS UP: There is a little prestidigitation involved. Be careful. Don't cut yourself.-Remarkable innovation and craftsmanship. This one is keeper folks. Boxes and envelopes in style.Strong Work Spyderco!

Great everyday carry blade that doesn't look like you are pulling out a knife.
I've been looking for a lightweight everyday carry blade that will not add too much bulk to my front pocket. I find myself grabbing this most days even though I have nicer options. Using at in the office does not raise eyebrows the way some of my other blades do. I've found myself enjoying the quality and thickness of the blade as well as the squared shape. The latter has, surprisingly, been easier to use for opening packages, cutting tape and other misc tasks at work.Spyderco Dog Tag Folder Gen4 Aluminum Plain Edge Flooding Knife, Gray

Excellent coin pocket knife
I place this in my coin pocket every day. It's convenient when you need to cut rope, paper, string, boxes, plastics, and other small things. The handle is short, so this is not good for deep and powerful cuts. However, it's perfect as a day-to-day blade. Love the design, company, and knife quality.
