I was initially disappointed that the lunge buster didn’t connect properly to my small buddy system.I reached out to the company through Amazon msg center. They responded quickly, directing me to contact them through their website and they would take care of me.I called their cust service number and to my surprise, the person who answered the phone knew exactly who I was! They explained that they changed the buckle to make it stronger and would send me a new leash compatible with the lunge buster!I just received the new leash today and tried out the lunge buster. It’s mostly for when my dog sees rabbits. I have two Golden Retrievers, ages 2 and 3. One is 75 pounds, the other is 105, so betwen them I have about 180 pounds of crazy dog on this leash and the extra buddy attachment. I would like to say they outweigh me, but I have about 10 pounds on them.This hands-free leash system is WONDERFUL. It allows me to use my entire body weight against them, so they're not pulling on just my arms. It has been great (I attach the leash to their harnesses). The dogs both adapted to it quickly and I've been using it for almost a year now with no problems. In fact, recently one of the dogs picked up a walnut shell and started choking. In her panic, she tried to bolt. If I hadn't been tethered to her with this, I might have lost her - she was scared enough to most likely jerk a regular leash out of my hands. Luckily, she was stuck and we were able to clear her throat.I have not had any problems or breakages with this leash, and it is so nice to have the full use of my arms when we walk. The leash is very sturdy, and with two young gigantic dogs, it's been thoroughly tested.

I love the small dog buddy system. I use it with my 17 lb terrier mix. He likes to sniff around and this lets him go from front to side to back easily. I use it like a utility belt. I have his little biodegradable bags clipped on, the clip for the used bags and there is still room for his treat pouch. I love that my arms are free, and they are never jerked around if he wants to stop and smell something wonderful (to him). It is much easier to click and treat him with my arms free, too.One thing I do when I wear the belt is to move the front clip to a position so it doesn't take a direct pull if he runs for a rabbit or squirrel. It seems strong enough, and I don't think it would snap, but I don't want to find out.He immediately chewed the front clip on the first one and I ordered another one right away. The second one I never leave laying around. I always hang it up when I am done!

I have to say this is the best product I have bought in a long time. I have two big dogs, one over 100 lbs and the other is about 60. I bought this (and an extra leash) hoping to make it easier for me to walk both at once. It works beautifully!!! The material is very heavy duty and the whole thing is sturdily made. I confidently walked both at the park and didn't worry about anything snapping off as we walked along. I was able to pull in some slack as other walkers went by, but there isn't too much that the momentum pulls you over if you stop and the dogs don't immediately. I have to work on getting them to pick their favorite side, but that's my dogs, not the leash. :) As a side note I found it really cute that the bag it came in had a sticker on it saying don't throw it away, re-purpose it is a waste bag.

As for this extension, I don't have a second dog but find it handy for leaving one leash on the belt and having another I can use in situation where I want to leash the dog by hand or to a pole for a few minutes. It is useful having two. Originally I bought this one by mistake trying to buy the full system that includes the belt, but I'm glad now to have two leashes for the system.Full buddy system review:I'm glad I bought this, if only for the ability to drop the leash from my hand sometime and still know the dog can only wander off but so far. That said, there is one issue with this leash that causes me to short it on perfection. The leash rotates to far around the belt (as in all the way around) that it makes it hard to train the dog to remain on one side of me (as recommended in dog obedience). Therefore I wind up holding the leash with my hand most of the time. And because the actual loop is on my waist, not in my hand, it isn't the easiest thing to do when the dog starts pulling.If you have a well-behaved dog who always walks at your left, right by your side or slightly behind you, this will probably be a favorite new thingy for you. It is adjustable both in the girth of the belt and the length of the leash. It snaps on and off quickly. It has an extra loop for tucking away the loose leash when not in use. It even has an extra snap juncture so that you can leave the slightly more difficult to clasp latch on the dog (useful only if you have a larger dog that won't have the clasp dragging the ground when not attached to the leash). You couldn't really ask for more -- other than a shorter span that allows the leash to move around the belt so that it remains on only on one side and gives the dog a gentle reminder tug that he is going out of limit when he tries to go to the other side.

Great system for hands free walking/running. I can hold an umbrella now when it's raining:).

Used this a few times to take my 20lbs Frenchie for a walk and the clip broke off- she ended up running around in the neighborhood and luckily I was able to catch her;however was not happy that the leash broke off that easily

have been using this regularly and it's a nice length for our retriever. Unfortunately, ours recently snapped at the buckle attachment when our dog lunged at a squirrel.

I look forward to upping my rating as soon as I hear back and then receive the missing part from the small dog system. I need the loop with the interlocking feature so I can lock-in the dog's end of the leash when I have her off leash. This is a key reason I bought the system but it came without that extra loop and interlocking clasp. Can this be sent to me asap?
