I'm Finally Giving These Five Stars
These are an amazing solution and a great bulb! They are WAY cheaper than the Phillips hue bulb and connected to the wink app really quickly. I was pleasantly surprised about how quickly they connect and there is only a short (less than one second) lag when turning on the lights, and most times it's instantaneous. The lighting is bright, and in our daughters room we can dim the bulb after we put her to bed, then turn it completely off once she's asleep.I wanted so badly to give these a five but after having to cut the power to our living room lights to instal the tapt switch the bulbs stopped working through the wink app. They of course still work through the switch, but have become disconnected from the app. I have disconnected them from the app for now, but may give them another shot in the future.Updated 4.24.15. After the crash of the wink hub I lost all connections to my bulbs, and had to reconnect them. It seems now like they work better, and I personally have a better understanding of how the powering of the bulbs work (have to leave the switch on and control from the phone totally) it's a good product lay, but connectivity has been an issue for me for sure.Updated 6.20.15. I'm giving these bulbs a five star rating now. I've realized that many of the connection issues are with the Wink hub and not the bulb itself. Once I began connecting bulbs to the Link hub (I know the names are too similar) I have had a smooth connection with no issues.

Works perfect with Samsung SmartthingInitially i was hard time to connect but the price i paid i wanted to figure out how it works with smartthing. So here steps i followed to connect with smartthing1) ConnectFirst, install the bulb in a light socket, with the light switch turned OFF.Then, in the SmartThings mobile app:Tap MarketplaceUnder Things, tap Connect New DeviceThe app will say, I’m looking for your new Things… and display a spinning circleWhile the Hub searches, turn ON the bulbWait up to 2 minutes for the device to be discoveredWhen the device is discovered, the message # Thing(s) Found! will increment and the device will list belowTap the device to configure itFollow the in-app prompts to configure the deviceWhen finished, tap DoneIf this doesnt work then try resetting and try connect steps againTo reset the GE Link LED BulbIf the GE Link LED Bulb was not discovered, you may need to reset the device before it can successfully connect with the SmartThings Hub. To do this:Turn OFF the light for 3 secondsTurn ON the light for 3 secondsRepeat this process 5 times (OFF for 3 seconds + ON for 3 seconds = 1 time)The bulb will then flash once if successfully resetAfter the bulb is reset, follow the first set of instructions above to connect the GE Link LED Bulb (starting with the light switched OFF)So i connected two bulbs very easy but was having hard time with the third lamp i tried this option just workedConnected bulb to smarrtthing. while it was discovering it found as unknown device. So i login to smartthing api account[...]Click on my devicesClick on Unknown deviceEditSelect types of device to GE BulbSave and it just works Great !!!This is the cheapest and great bulb works with smartthing. You can setup the automation trigger and dim using smartthing app

Do not buy this bulb! 5 of mine failed—Waste of money!
Use these with SmartThings. I wanted to like this bulb so much, it was cheaper than the Hue but the first two I had started flickering occasionally and upon inspection, there was moisture in them. Very strange because I live in a very dry climate, my house is not at all humid... and they're light bulbs... so, they don't get wet. I emailed GE, they were helpful and sent me a coupon to replace the bulbs (sidenote, it was really hard to use at the local home improvement store, but after multiple attempts we got them to accept it).So great, two new bulbs, and why not get two more, they're cheap, the rest are probably fine. It's been, oh, several months now, three of them have serious problems (the 4th one hardly ever gets used). The one in the living room will flash at least once a day, it's connected to SmartThings, but has a mind of its own and will turn itself on in the middle of the night, so we don't even use it as a smart bulb anymore. And what do you know? There's moisture in it! Next, the bulb in the bedroom likes to also turn itself on in the night (unrelated to the other bulb) and not turn on when it's scheduled to. Btw, these are not SmartThings bugs because SmartThings' history doesn't ever say the bulb was turned on, so the bulb itself is doing it. We also only use this light manually now (no smart controlling). Also moisture in this one! Now our porch light has started acting up, so great. It inconsistently turns itself on and off. Haven't checked for moisture, hard to get to.In comparison to this mess, I purchased a Cree smart bulb from the local home improvement store—this bulb ROCKS! The GE bulbs create a weird shadow on the walls/ceiling (someone else has posted a photo of this). At first, I was like "oh, not so bad" but I have a fixture with this other bulb right next to it, and the GE bulb shadowing looks kinda lame. Also, the Cree bulb hasn't ever turned itself on/off at the wrong time, it doesn't have moisture, it's had zero problems—so the issues we've having with the GE bulbs don't seem to be us, or the house, because this other bulb does just fine.Overall I'm very frustrated and disappointed with these light bulbs. We spent like $12 on each of these, and now I just want to throw them all in the garbage. What a waste of money. I do NOT recommend buying these bulbs, I bought them from Amazon and the local store and all of them had the same problems. Stay far, far away.

Calidad y precio a tiempo.
