HUGE upgrade, literally.
Upgraded from a RTX 3080 12GB with AIO cooler. Firstly, this card is HUGE. I had to relocate the front radiator fans in my case to the outside of the case (which worked fine btw). It's a MSI MPG GUNGNIR 110R mid-tower case, which I think is pretty standard as far as design and size. Second point, this GPU stays COOL. I was pretty concerned that I'd have to purchase an AIO, since the 3080 I upgraded from cooled so much better with one. AIO unnecessary here! Stays right around 60°C at full load, ~65°C after 4-5 hour heat soak in an 85°F room. But it stays cool because of the massive heat pipe/radiator fin setup on it, which is why it's such a huge card. Third point, it's very quiet. If I force it to full fan speed, you can hear it, but even then it's nothing crazy loud in my opinion. It also has never needed to go full speed to cool on it's own. Stays quiet and cool for long periods of 100% GPU load. I use it for 4K gaming while 4K streaming/recording, and highly modified games like Cyberpunk. I was skeptical of frame gen, but at 2x-3x it's barely noticeable quality-wise. 4x and it starts to look bad. DLSS works fine without the frame gen too. As far as raw power (No DLSS, No frame gen), it can pull 60FPS at 4K on a maxed out demanding title. Lastly, price. Was it worth the upgrade? These prices are nuts. Plus I had to upgrade the rest of my 4 year old system so this GPU wouldn't be bottlenecked. But it is what it is, prices aren't ever going back down. This was a huge upgrade from a very capable 3080. I could still return and refund all of it, and I have no plans to do so.

Love my 5080 gaming OC
Bought this card for $1200 back in 11-30-2025 with a $250 gift card it was only $1040. This card was worth every penny , super quiet and handles everything I through at it. I’m not doing any extra OC just leaving it at its base because all I do is game @4k I’d buy this video card again at the price I got it for, I wouldn’t say it’s worth the $1500 it is at the time of this review. It looks amazing , runs cool out the box, HUGE compared to the 3060ti I upgraded from. Absolutely MASSIVE compared to my old 1050ti gaming Oc lol. I Love it.

Solid Performer and Easy Overclocker
I just received this card 24 hours ago, and if anything changes I'll update this review. I upgraded from an eVGA 3090 Ti to this and I'm extremely pleased with the results. It's obviously a solid improvement over what I had, and fit in my case (Hyte Y70) with no issues whatsoever. The card is pretty chonky so make sure you have the room to fit it, installation was a breeze and all I needed to do after the usual installation faffing around was to do a clean install of the drivers to support the 5080, that was all handled well by the Nvidia app and I'm plenty happy with how that all went. Performance is fantastic, and it's incredibly easy to overclock. I overclocked the GPU with the Gigabyte utility in just a few clicks and it runs absolutely beautifully at 3150MHz on the GPU and 3000MHz on the memory (stock). No problems, no crashes it just works. If you're coming from a 3000 series card like I was this is a solid investment and I highly recommend this as an upgrade. Even if you don't overclock this I think you'll be plenty happy with it's performance improvement over your 3000 series card. I can't comment on improvement over an equivalent 4000 series card personally, but I've heard the 5080 doesn't offer much increased performance over the 4080 for the money. But that said, I can only quote what I have heard from several sources. If I had one complaint, the RGB on the card is pretty lack luster. Even at full brightness the fan LED's are pretty unimpressive, and the LED's on the top aren't anything to write home about either. If you're looking for a blinging card with a lot of RGB this card is definitely not that. But if you're more concerned about price to performance this is a good option among the larger more well known brands. I also didn't see anything in a comparison that said the Aorus Master was any better performing, and it's $100 more for some lights and a screen you'll never really need. This seemed like the better option since I already had enough LEDs in my case. At this point I highly recommend this card for anyone upgrading or otherwise seriously considering a solid 5080 solution.

Amazing Card and Better Drivers + DLSS 4.5
I have had this card for over a year. I play COD and Battlefield 6 primarily. The card runs cool and I am simply amazed at the beautiful graphics on a 240hz HDR monitor. The quality of the Nvidia Drivers have significantly improved performance and visual quality in the past year. DLSS 4.5 is remarkable. The frame generation is also excellent. I use it on FPS games. I still don’t understand people complaining about the drivers on the Nvidia community driver forum. I recommend this card on a big desktop with a lot of fans… Corsair for me…

Defective card, conveniently didn't start acting up until the return window closed.
It's a Wonderful Card when it decides to work. Except that it randomly crashes the Entire Computer about once an hour and the best gigabyte has offered to do is "fix" it be making me send it to them for a month long repair.

This is the GPU my computer needed so badly!!
After doing some research I had to decide between the Asus TUF 5080 or the Gigabyte 5080 gaming OC. both at the sane price point , and I came to the conclusion that the Gigabyte offers more future proofing, in warranty and even for factory overclocking performance. this card has 4 years warranty, and a much dense bigger alluminum body as cooler compared to the Asus TUF. is true the asus has 5 monitors conectors, but you can only use 4 at the same time. the only concern I had was the server grade gel the Gigabyte is using on all their cards, but in my case it won't hurn anything because I'm not using a vertical adapter to run mine. So fas so good, I run Unreal engine Electric Dream like it was a RTX4090!! awesome performance!! I am very satified with its design and construction, aI only hear the fans when It's running some heavy task on it. feels like a tank and its heavy. my case almost didnt have the space!! the RBGs are not so vibrant as the more expensive ones, but this one sure makes the job!! And it actually looks more stylish than the Asus Tuf.

Gigabyte 5080 gaming oc, u might wanna know
I bought this to start my new build, my old pc had a 4060 in it, I started having pc problems with my old build so I made a better pc and added this gigabyte geforce rtx 5080 its really good, the temperature is very cool, I played the finals as a test and it stayed in the 50s way better then my 4060 temperature which was in the 70 some times 80, the card size is huge, so if u dont have at least a atx case it will be a tight fit, the build quality is stunning, three fan with rgb light in the fans and on top for customization and it was very quiet, at times I even questioned if it was still on or not, everything come brand new

Inaccettabile...
Resa subito.

What can be said that has not already been said?
Fan tuning is a must in my case because between 1450 and 1600 there is a annoying resonance from the fans. If you do not fan tune, undervolting (925mV) will help as the temps will remain between 60 and 65 (during gameplay) and therefore the fans will not really go over 1300. Thankfully zero coil whine can be heard. Thermally it runs very efficiently and inserting it into my case has not had an impact on the temps of all the other components. And I was running a 2070 super before this! Other than that its a huge sized card that has very impressive performance.
