This seventh volume of the light novel covers the final battle against the White Whale. Through extremely difficult circumstances, Subaru and company manage to defeat the foe.It is as much a story about Wilhelm as about Subaru though, and the old man's struggle against the whale and against his past shine through very well. We're shown a lot of interesting characters contributing throughout to the battle, and Subaru continues to improve himself and shine as a character and as a hero.I recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed the series up until this point. I noticed no glaring translation or other issues in the text itself, and was able to stay engrossed throughout.

The story was well paced and the ending was satisfactory and open ended for the next volume. I really loved and it’s nice seeing Subaru not get completely destroyed by fate for once.

Goes into further detail than the anime does. I am still waiting for the translated novels to pass the anime. Sadly translation is slow.

Subarus plans come to a head...forces collide...and things heat up!A good continuation as always, still waiting to get past the show.
