Shed T-Handle Lock Set 5-1/2" Chrome

I built my own shed from scratch and was worried this thing wouldn’t be good enough to keep it locked and secure my things from thieves but I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s a hefty handle and lock and looks good too. All steel. Time will tell how well the chrome finish of the handle can withstand the summer sun and heat and the winter cold and snow.

Excellent quality and durable. Delivered sooner than expected. Came with an Allen wrench that was not shown in the photo. Definitely worth the money. Five stars!

Its heavy to hold, feels substantial. The lock and handle work very smooth. The chrome plating appears deep and heavy with good shine. Appears to be high quality, far better than the shed lock I replaced which weighed half as much. I expect this one will last many years.It comes with two screws for the handle bezel. They are a square drive screw head, not Phillips so you will need to get the correct driver or bit to use them. Adds some security I guess as they are not as common.You will also need an Allen wrench to secure the "D" ring lock on to the shaft with the included set screw.There are many different lengths to choose from in both chrome and black. If in doubt or your needs are in between, go long and cut the shaft to fit with a hacksaw.

Easy, took 10 minutes to install.

After striking out at three big box hardware stores, I found this online. Absolutely great replacement of an existing shed lock on a house I bought that didn't have any keys! One thing to help future purchasers- my old back D handle didn't allow the rod to pass all the way through. So if you're wondering what length to buy, err on the long side. This will still work. Top quality product and great seller would buy form again.

We built a shed with two double-doors. The doors were built with 2"x4" 's, 7/16" siding and 3/4" trim on the exterior, and 7/16" OSB interior.Kind of figured that the 5 1/2" would be sufficient, but the description doesn't tell you that the interior handle allen screw placement is a full inch from the bottom of the "D". If you happen to be familiar with this type of handle, you would naturally compensate for that, but I assumed that the 5 1/2" they refer to is the maximum measurement (total door thickness) with the "D" being attached.I should have gone with the 6".

Glad I can get things reasonably fast on amazon. I was surprised I could not readily find one of these for my new shed. It worked great and was exactly what I needed.
