Keeps the engine cool in the desert
Got this because I was replacing a head gasket in my Scion tc. Living in southern Arizona I wanted to keep the engine as cool as possible. This does the job and it feels very solid compared to the one I took out. A little pricy but good piece of mind for me.

Keeps temps LOW for 2004 Scion XB (Manual/modded)
This fits perfectly in the 2004 Scion xB. My Scion is slightly modded, and engine temps were around 195-200F in 75-80F weather. If I was climbing a hill or AC, my temps would go above 205F kicking on the fan and close to overheating temperatures. I swapped this in (plus changing out my radiator from Single row to Dual Row) and now my temps ever go past 180 (climbing hills and AC on) This is a great thermostat, just will have to see how long it lasts.

Amazon to the rescue!
Thankfully Amazon had this part in stock! I too own one of the problematic Scion TC with a TRD supercharger. This car has been in the shop more than any car I have owned and this is mostly due to dealerships not installing parts correctly. This car has had 6 different superchargers on this car since 2007. Now I have noticed the fans keep coming on this car constantly. I do not drive the car but my wife does, and she never notices stuff like this. Then when I drove it last weekend, the car almost overheated! I knew it could be the thermostat but I had to make sure. I checked the intake and outtake radiator hoses and yep, one was cold the other was warm. TRD has this part discontinued so I had to get the Mishimoto which works great! But then as I took off the supposed TRD thermostat off of my car, low and behold it was the OEM one original from the factory! So the dealership cut corners again on this car, hence why this part finally gave out! I tell you, if you can DIY, then DIY. This part isn't that hard to install and all I needed was about an hour to finish this job. Thanks Amazon for having the part that I needed!

There is no credibility
I received the piece in bad packaging and the piece is not suitable for my car and there is a difference as the picture is not the same piece and explains that it works at a temperature of 68 which I received works at a temperature of 76

Mishimoto (MMTS-TC-05L) 155° F/68° CThis does not fit the 1997 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder, as stated in the advertisement. This device is too big at 2 1/8 inches [54mm] therefore it would fit the Camry 6 cylinder. The Camry 4 cylinder requires a 48mm size thermostat.disappointing and returning this device.
