A: check if you have loaded them upside down. Also check you have the correct staples (correct number should be engraved on gun.)

A: This staple gun/tacker would be most suitable for canvas to wooden frames. I suggest you purchase Sharp Shooter Heavy duty staples G  8mm 5/16"for this task. The tacker does have a kick. However, I do not see problems for ladies.
