Not for me
I know this has a cult following and as normal, arrow have done a great job.The movie just wasn't for me. I watched it and glad to have seen it but it wasn't to remain in my collection. I think this has a place for people with some connection with it. I didn't have one, so when I watched in my thirties I just watched a so so film.

before Ceasar/George/Kong(reboot) there was SCHLOCK
wow was adding new comments now the blu ray is out and the whole review disappeared. So my initial pre review has gone. Of this release my first surprise was that Landis decided to make this after seeing TROG. (that makes sense.) The extra's have 2 new features, a 41 minute interview with John Landis about how he got into movies and the making of SCHLOCK and beyond up to …..WEREWOLF. Kim Newman has 17 minutes on the influences on Landis/SCHLOCK from the 50's and 60's including TROG. Then there is archive material as noted on the sleeve with a commentary that must be from 2000' ish for an American dvd release, presumably. Got to be a fan of KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE/GROOVE TUBE/LOOSE SHOES to enjoy this low budget starter of 2 immense careers and able to spot the homages to other movies. Just seen on site FILM SCHOOL REJECTS that this has been made Pick of the Week for new releases. Say no more! WARNING only a 12 age release but no mention that Landis uses profanities a lot in his interview and right at the end of the commentary.
