I'm 45 years young and battling with serious weakness and neuropathy from "chemo" treatment of leukemia. I was rolling my ankles at least 1-2 times per day if walking on uneven ground. I bought one of these to try, .....loved it and immediately ordered another. Haven't rolled an ankle since. Seriously better than when a trainer used to tape my ankles when I was playing college soccer 25 years ago. Highly recommend. Not only lace up nice and tight but the figure 8 strap design really stabilizes from rolling. Only thing I wish they had were longer laces. To put it on and off, I have to unlace the top 3 eyelets and re-lace. Slight added time to deal with this is still a fraction of time it would take to tape your ankles. Still 5-stars. No turned ankles and confidence while walking is invaluable.

After trying several braces from my doctor and stores, I ordered about half a dozen different types off Amazon, but this is the only one I kept and have been wearing it for about 3 weeks now. It is the most stable and adjustable one, offering the best coverage in the ways I needed which, also makes it the most comfortable, whether wearing it with shoes or not. I'm very grateful to have found this, so thank you!

Item arrived in a clear, plastic bag without instructions. The figure 8 straps were a little confusing to figure out (across the foot, under the foot, hook and loop attach to heel portion of brace).The laces were too short for me to lace up to the top eyelet hook but that isn't the fault of the seller. I just bought new, longer laces and solved the issue. The eyelets are very tight and if you are going to purchase a longer lace, it must be a flat lace to fit under the hook, hooks are made of plastic and not adjustable like a metal hook on an ice skate.Brace feels secure when laced up. It is a bit bulky but it is a supportive brace so in order for it to be supportive, it has to be a little bulky, right?I bought this brace after my Podiatrist wrote a prescription for a lace-up figure 8 ankle stabilizer but my insurance co-pay was going to be $75.00!I came to amazon to look for the same (or similar) item and was thrilled to find this one!This brace seems well-made and will suit my needs just fine.Yes, it does what it is supposed to do.Yes, you may have to buy longer laces.

It's a bit thicker on the sides than in the photo, so it stretches out the sides of my sneakers, which is actually really aggravating.I ordered according to the size chart and it has too much room in my heel which makes it not white fit as it should.. It's also REALLY hard to slide off of my foot, and sometimes I need my husband's help or I hurt my ankle in the process.The lacing is a bit tedious, and I have to leave it loose at the bottom and top, while death gripping it in the middle to get the support I need without it cutting off circulation to the front of my foot.. it takes a lot of time and adjusting to get just right which isn't the best if you're in a hurry.. not to mention if you wear it with shoes too long it begins to hurt the front of your foot as well.Needless to say it has stopped me from rolling my ankle again, so it does what i need it to and it's a good price, but I'm hoping my physical therapist recommends a better one.

I didn't want to write a review until I had used it for a while. This brace fits comfortably and offers good support. I have a permanent foot injury and must wear a brace all day, every day. This one works very well. I like that the lace-up style allows me to customize the fit to my ankle in a way speed laces make more difficult. Also the figure 8 straps are quite heavy and seem likely to last longer than those on the brace I had previously (those were thinner material and wore through in a few months.) I do find it helpful to wear a thin sock underneath it: I cut out the toe of the sock and hem it, then fold the top of the sock down over the brace to cover the Velcro. This prevents the Velcro from snagging hose on my other leg. I only have to use the sock when not wearing long pants, since long pants have the same effect.8 months of wearing this brace every day, all day. It’s finally starting to wear out, but is still usable. I’m very impressed at how well it has functioned all this time! Ordering another one just like it to have on hand when this one finally gives out!

I need to take pressure off my arch and this product works great. The relief from pain is immediate. I can wear it with or without a walking boot. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is hard as heck to get on, it really is a two person job (my wife helps). Also, it rubs a bit on my leg so I had to put some foam to protect. And you can't wear it for days and days because your skin needs to breathe. I wore it for 3 days and nights and finally took it off because my leg itched so much. There was big red patch that itched like crazy but it eventually went away after a couple of hours. I would recommend wearing it all day then giving your skin a rest at night. But during those 3 days my arch pain went away when walking, the first time in months I could say that. The product is very useful and I am very pleased overall.

The stabilization of the brace is good. The construction quality could be better. The lace up guard that goes between your skin and the laces is thin and flimsy. This brace dos not appear to be constructed for any long term use. There are holes to lace it up but they do not have eyelet rings that would make lacing easier and allow for longer use. I purchased this for stabilization long term. I'm looking at other braces now. For short term use, after a sprain, this is a good brace.

I sprained my ankle a couple weeks ago and the doctor said I needed something a little more sturdy than the sleeve I had been wearing. After going to the normal pharmacies I didn't see anything that would work. Then I came across this gem. It's perfect, easy to use, and shipped quickly. There wasn't directions but it's easy enough to figure out. It really keeps my ankle stable during the day and it's not as sore at night. It is a little bulky so can't really fit into all my boots but it's a small sacrifice to make to heal properly.

I have stretched ligaments in the left ankle and was regularly twisting my ankle when out walking the dog. I’ve tried a few ankle braces with just Velcro straps but they’re nowhere near as effective as this brace. The combination of the Velcro straps, plastic side supports and laces have saved me from twisting my ankle so many times that I can’t remember over the last couple of months. I can walk with confidence knowing that I won’t suffer any more pain from a twisted ankle again.I wear it from morning till evening, about 10-12 hours a day, every day without fail. The lace-ups can be awkward at first but you soon get into the hang of doing them up quickly if you persevere. I wear mine over socks and inside shoes and boots without it feeling too tight.Mine is starting to show some wear on the edges at the heal end so will be buying another soon.

I don't normally write reviews but....I have a weak ankle from turning my it over badly 4 years ago. I had to stop playing at all for 6 months and haven't played much since. I have started playing again regularly for the last month and I did the same thing last week but luckily not so badly. I looked on Amazon and saw this ankle brace and some good reviews.Playing with it on, you don't notice it's there. It gives you confidence that you're secure and supported without any extra weight or mobility restrictions.I was playing last night on a slippery surface and went over on the same ankle..... I thought "That's it, I won't be able to put any weight on it" but the brace had stopped any injury! It has paid for itself in just two days!Great product, great service, great value. I can't fault it.Thank you!

This product is excellent. I would go as far as to say, for me, life changing! I have a chronically unstable ankle, having severely damaged several ligaments, including the syndesmotic ligament. I am on a waiting list for surgery and was really struggling. The ankle support has made an enormous difference. It provides excellent support, enabling me to walk pretty much as normal. The laces make it easily adjustable and it is comfortable, so that I can wear it all day and all night. Obviously I still have to be careful with my injury and sensible about what I do, but the support has meant I am able to get around without a crutch and the pain I was experiencing on my opposite knee and hip from compensating when walking has eased significantly. It fits into trainers well, but is a little too bulky for my normal work shoes because of the cross straps. But the benefit of the extra support provided by the cross straps outweighs any negatives for me. I just wear different shoes that accommodate the brace and it isn't visible under my trousers. I can't recommend enough.

The last time I tore a tendon it took a couple of months to sort itself even though I taped it up and exercised as I'd been recommended to. Having done some research I decided to try an ankle brace when I tore my other tendon. This one usually appeared in the top ten when I looked at reviews so I bought it. Absolutely brilliant. Wearing this, even with a torn achilies tendon you can hobble about during the day and not jolt or shock your injury so it heals much quicker. I only wore it for a week but my tendon had healed enough by then to start exercising it gently. They take months to reach full strength but with the help of this particular support I was walking normally within a couple of weeks. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent ankle brace. I sustained a fairly bad sprain a few weeks ago, a bad grade 2. Bought this a week after, as my ankle felt quite unstable as well as very painful. This brace has been an absolute Godsend. I thought the laces might be a bit of a faff, and it's true that they do slow down the putting on in the morning a little, but in fact the lacing means you get a really good custom fit. I can't imagine not using this style if needed in future. The non stretchy side straps give great stability.I'm really glad I bought this. A bit more than the basic cheap ankle supports available, but half the price of the big branded ones. Excellent value for what it's doing for me. I'll be wearing it for protection some time yet I think, for off road dog walking (which was where the sprain occurred, on uneven ground).Highly recommended!
